The Apprentice (Donald Trump Edition) 11/03/2005

''Adam, have you ever had sex before?''
''I prefer not to discuss this at the moment''

rotfl

I think Randall (the black guy) will win this season.

PacMan2006 11-03-05 11:02 PM

Yeah, if Randall doesn't win it's a crime. I think he's also the most qualified.

Jimmy James 11-03-05 11:07 PM

What's great about him is that he nailed the problem with the sex strategy in like 15 seconds. He's so good that he has to be a ringer.

KappaSig1304 11-03-05 11:16 PM

So on the Apprentice tonight, we have the virgin jew and the gay anti-semite....interesting combination.

Trelach24 11-03-05 11:24 PM

That clown Marcus was like an SNL character or something.....only there's no way anyone could write the stuff he says.

JasonF 11-03-05 11:31 PM

Randall deserves to win. The chick on crutches (Rebecca?) is also reasonably competent. I wouldn't hire any of the rest of them to mow my lawn, let alone work in a corporate setting.

Fok 11-04-05 12:02 AM

Glad Markus is gone, but man that gay guy, what a little bitch. Wasn't he crying in the end?
It's okay if a person makes fun of himself or his own race, but when some else does it, it's not funny.

CPA-ESQ. 11-04-05 07:54 AM

Donald hand picked these contestants??? :whofart:

Randall was picked from the beginning to be the next apprentice (he has degrees up the wazoo, and that whole thing about his Grandmother's funeral)

If he did not win they never would have spent that much time showing him flying down to Philly and showing the family at one of the saddest times of their lives.

JasonF 11-04-05 09:07 AM

Keep in mind that by the time the first episode aired, they knew who the two finalists would be (even if you assume the game isn't fixed). So if Randall is going to be one of the finalists, it makes sense that they would edit the episode to highlight his personal tragedy.

For that matter, watching Donald sympathetically give Randall his helicopter so he can go to a funeral is good TV no matter what.

Groucho 11-04-05 09:11 AM

One thing I noticed in the last three seasons is that the eventual winner was never shown screwing up or being an ass. They were usually portrayed in a good light. One slight exception was Kendra, who was shown squabbling with Craig in a few episodes.

Spanky BananaPants 11-04-05 12:23 PM

That was quite the dress Carolyn had on. Trump seemed to enjoy it too.

I'm also betting that Randall wins it all, with Marshawn possibly coming in second.

As much as the guy deserved it, I'll miss Markus. He was a true train-wreck, and fun to watch, even if he contributed absolutely nothing.

jeffkjoe 11-04-05 12:27 PM

I don't think they're promoting the Star Wars episode enough.

John-In-VA 11-04-05 01:16 PM

Ok, so who is easier to understand, Chewbacca or Marcus?

CrashNBurn69 11-04-05 01:54 PM

i kept thinking of the SNL Trump whenever marcus was saying something. and the gay dude said "hes the shy type jewish boy". he never said anything about him being a tight ass unless he said "shy, tight jewish boy". i was cracking up when trump found out the gay guy was gay. when trump asked if he found the girls attractive i thought he was gonna ask "do you find me attractive" next. rotfl

Jack Straw 11-04-05 02:35 PM

Yeah, that was a very strange episode. I couldn't make out exactly what they guy said at the presentation. I'll try to rewatch again this weekend (CNBC) and put it on subtitles. Man, that jewish boy is such a WIMP. No way he makes it to the final boardroom.

CrashNBurn69 11-04-05 02:47 PM

i also thought it was funny when trump was trying to make a menu analogy to being gay. he said "i might want a steak and someone else might want..." i thought he was gonna say salad

mike7162 11-04-05 03:17 PM

Me...Carolyn...that dress...the boardroom table...right now!

You're right. He did say "shy type Jewish boy". Adam heard it wrong and assumed it was an anti-Semitic remark.

I work with a guy just like this. He thinks he's a world beater with tons of ideas, but just doesn't have a clue. Everything the guy says could be conveyed in a couple of sentences, but he takes half an hour to say.

Steam 11-04-05 09:41 PM

Markus was on Opie & Anthony this morning and said that they just edited him wrong saying that Donald just pegged him as this sort of guy and ran with it and Mark Burnett followed suit. Hmmm, if that is the case then they had an awful lot of footage of him stammering like a jackass.

Bill Needle 11-05-05 03:16 AM

There was some clear editing to make him look worse along those lines than he actually was -- otherwise why bother editing? Not so much to defend him, but it was pretty obvious.

LiquidSky 11-05-05 08:38 AM

I would love to introduce Adam to the joys of man/man lovin'

************

Although I dig the dudes, I thought Carolyn looked very sexy in the boardroom!!

maingon 11-05-05 12:30 PM

I hope Randall or Rebecca wins, Rebecca is beautiful. I was laughing when Markus was in the taxi saying his final words, "i am an intellegent speaker, um you know ummmm.......

guys funny.

Except at one point during the board room, she suddenly had a regular shirt on. :hscratch:

I love how they edit this show
