I liked this ep a lot more than the last couple, for some reason. Good stuff. I'm still kind of surprised that with all the stuff about Rex being poisoned and the potassium and all that, it NEVER occurs to Bree to suspect the one other person who was giving something to Rex to put into his body - his fucking pharmacist!!! Hello?! She's not a dumb lady, so that really bugs me. Other than that, this was a pretty good episode, IMO.
The late Wallace Shawn really looked good too.

Great episode. Loved the marriage counseling scene with Gabrielle and Carlos. ("Bob, you used to beat your wife. You are so not allowed to gasp." "One more word out of you, Lisa, and I'll backhand you myself.")
I agree that Bree's scene at the cemetery was way too over-the-top. If that's what Marcia Cross was like on Melrose Place, I'm glad I never watched it. That would have gotten old really fast.
I'm glad we got more developments on the Betty Applewhite storyline, but I think there's a LOT more we don't know yet. At this point, if Caleb doesn't turn out to be Betty's son, I'll be shocked. I also have this feeling that it'll turn out that Matthew is the one who killed that girl, and either framed Caleb, or Betty just assumed it was Caleb, and he let her think that.
I have this image of the season ending with Betty moving into a new house in a new neighborhood, bringing food down to the basement... and we see she has Matthew locked in there now.
No DH next week but at least it'll be back the following week.

I thought this episode was the best of the new season so far. It seems more like last season. We had more interaction with the housewives and it advanced the mysteries more.
They seem to be addressing some of the complaints that have been made about this sophomore season.
I loved Lynette at the bar. She looked hot.

Wait, I'm confused. Can someone tell me if Wallace Shawn died in real life or not? I didn't get the cgi comments. If he did, I can't believe I didn't hear about it on the forums. What about a car accident? Did he get disfigured or paralyzed or something?

The "Wallace Shawn is dead" is a long-standing DVD Talk forum joke. I can't even remember the exact origins anymore, it has been so long, but do a search in the main DVD Talk forum.
It's one of those things like "Das Boot version".

I'm sure this wasn't intentional but I loved the fact that Boogie Shoes was the song Lynette was dancing to in the bar - the same song she danced to in my favorite Sports Night episode.

Dang, I forgot about that! With Fall Sweeps, lots of record albums, and holiday movies, it seems like November is a pretty big month for the entertainment industry.

In review of The Princess Bride SE, the reviewer from The Digital Bits (might have been Bill Hunt) lamented about the late Wallace Shawn.

....but I would not be surprised at all if it WAS intentional.
