from Dwight's Blog:

"During the course of the fire the documentary crew captured me for all eternity rescuing the life of Kelly Kapour from smoke inhilation or worse. Worse is having your nylons melt into your flesh from the heat of the fire. Or having molten ore drip onto you while you're tied down and can watch the hot drops fall onto your forehead. Or having larvae maggots put into your nose. Or having your face sliced off by a Cylon."

Gizmo 10-18-05 10:03 AM

He better not fire anyone!

Goldberg74 10-18-05 10:49 AM

I wonder if he'll can one of the dock workers.

Big Boy Laroux 10-18-05 11:00 AM

hmmm, good point. and just because someone is fired doesn't mean they won't be on the show anymore. I could definitely see it being Pam's fiancee, and him still showing up at the office to see Pam, or something like that... but who knows.

Doughboy 10-18-05 12:01 PM

Maybe it'll be Ryan. Cuz you know, [singing]Ryan started the fire[singing]. :)

Nesbit 10-18-05 12:03 PM

My vote is on the red headed older lady.

MrX 10-18-05 01:27 PM

The commercial for this cracks me up everytime with Dwight and Michael at the end. "Quiet you"

Merkin Muffley 10-18-05 03:07 PM

Who is that again?

Aphex Twin 10-18-05 03:43 PM

Who would you guys do?

Michael Corvin 10-18-05 03:55 PM

Pam!

Nesbit 10-18-05 04:05 PM

I'd definitely do Ryan because he's going to own his own business.

I know I would have sex with him

Patman 10-18-05 09:07 PM

Dwight killed me tonight. By the time they revealed Dwight in sith lord grey facial makeup, I was laughing really hard. Plus all the sith lord side angle shots of Dwight trying to have his mind control over Michael (and failing miserably) was hysterical. Probably the best episode of the season so far.

Lateralus 10-18-05 09:07 PM

Best episode so far!

HE Pennypacker 10-18-05 09:17 PM

Hilarious epsiode, one of the best IMO. Also, Angela looks pretty hot with makeup.

dhmac 10-18-05 09:18 PM

Great episode! The guy about to be fired talking Michael into firing a different guy was too much!

I really liked that and Jim's impersonation of Micheal Gary Scott on the phone.

MrX 10-18-05 10:38 PM

"Look at you, showing your true colors"

Great episode

Jimmy James 10-18-05 10:46 PM

I loved the three hole punch version of Jim.

Dwight's such a dork, he used his index finger when he should have used his thumb to make the "cutting of the throat" motion.

Nesbit 10-19-05 07:44 AM

Yeah when I look at that .gif THATS the thing that tells me Dwight's a dork....

Goldberg74 10-19-05 08:35 AM

I loved how Ryan didn't even attempt to dress up.

I also liked seeing the human side of Michael Scott when he was giving candy out to the kids at the end. *sniff*

BEST. EPISODE. YET.

That captured the temp experience perfectly. Now they just need to establish that all the regular employees bitch to him about everyone else.

Geofferson 10-19-05 09:07 AM

Great episode last night. Loved the sith lord side shots.

Groucho 10-19-05 09:09 AM

"Who is it...oh."

Every Halloween, Mose and I light a bonfire at the
beet farm. (It's no longer beet season) We hang
scarecrows from the trees and have spooky sounds
playing all around. We invite all the neighborhood
kids over for candy and punch and beer and hot dogs.
Last year we had a low turnout but it was still fun.
Mose and I got to eat all the beer and candy we
wanted, so that was cool. Then we threw
bottle-rockets into the firey flames and hoped they
didn't explode right back at us and ignite our hair.

i thought using the index finger was an accepted method...

anyway, great episode. kind of lame how they introduced two guys you've never seen before just to fire one of them, but hey, they didn't lose a regular.

the side shots of dwight were hilarious.

and it was nice to see the shots of Michael at home on halloween. Although why would the documentary cameras follow him home and film him through his window? :)

the pam/jim interaction was great again. jim being hurt when pam suggested he should take the job, then pam worried that she hurt his feelings. just felt very real.

loved pam's reaction to michael:

"and sometimes you just let the calls go to voicemail..."

"Wow, your costume is great!"

lysander 10-19-05 01:26 PM

I loved the Mr. Incredible costume and that all the women were cats

Brain Stew 10-19-05 02:03 PM

I thought it was funny when the guy was asking everyone to meet him at the bar except Michael and the one that was originally going to be fired and didn't mention Dwight's name.

didn't recognize the second guy but the first guy was someone we have seen before. He was the guy who 'fouled' Michael in the basketball episode leading to the ending of the game.
