The gang from Seinfeld. Starting when Elaine got her new 'do and it just goes downhill from there. Oh and Putty sucks too.

I hated Goren until I watched the first season of C.I. and got a better understanding of the character.

I still find him somewhat annoying, but nowhere near as hated as I used to.

Shelly from Northern Exposure - the "valley girl" thing grated my nerves.

Thats funny, i noticed the same exact thing. I used to like Elaine but as soon as she changed her hair she became extremely annoying. Everybody gets more annoying after Larry David left but Elaine stands out the most.

I absolutely can not stand the way she says every sentence by putting emphasis on the last word. I cringe when I see her in a scene. Not to mention that gap in her two front teeth. Ugly and can't act. How she landed an acting job, I'll never know.

Couldn't agree more. She is the only issue I have with this show.

After spending a week on vacation with my sister's kids, I'm pretty sure it's this:

based primarily on his theme song: "I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map........"

Among humans, it may be this guy:

"Hands up, who likes me?"

I never noticed a difference. I always thought every character was completely unlikeable, yet likeable at the same time. Seinfeld is one of my favorite shows (pretty much every season).

And Putty (Puddy?) is my favorite guest character.

Hate to be Mr. Obvious here, but that was the idea. They were never supposed to be likable. See below. DodgingCars "gets" it.

You want an entire cast of annoying characters? I submit:

I always tell people that Constanza is my favorite character. I love that guy, but if he were a real person, I'd keep about 500 yards from myself and him.

They may have not been great people in the Larry David seasons but i found them to be extremely funny and likeable. In the later seasons, the good writing was taken out and was replaced by exagerated versions of the old characters.

Oh I think I "get" it. But where DodgingCars thinks they're both unlikable and still likable all 9 seasons, for me they gradually cease to be likable starting when Elaine changed the 'do. It probably started a little before that but it's easier to just check Elaine's hair when seeing whether to watch a rerun on tv or not. Basically (for me) the first 5 seasons are terrific and it goes downhill thereafter.

I found Puddy to be okay initially. It was only when they brought him back more frequently that he started to be annoying to me. Same goes for George and Jerry's parents.

Exactly. When did Larry leave the show anyway? I forget.

Some more annoying characters, Monday night edition:
Al Michaels
Chris Vermin
Doug Heffernan sometimes
Richie from KoQ all the time
The kids from Medium.
I never watched ELR much, but whenever I tuned in, Doris Roberts bugged the heck out of me.

Carrie Heffernan from King of Queens, she doesn't seem to have any redeeming value as a human being.

Counseler Troi's mother Luxana (or however you spell it) in ST:TNG.
Any episode she appeared in was automatically ruined. To this day I absolutely refuse to watch any ST episode that features her.

After Season 7. There were 9 seasons all together. David returned to write the finale.

Agreed. I have known guys like Jack and can only stand to be around them for about 5 minutes before I head up to the bar for another beer.....

IMO, the most annoying person on TV continues to be Paul Schaffer.
I can't even watch Letterman because Schaffer annoys me so much.

The image showed up in the preview but not the post. Anyway, the just mentioned:

I went looking for Larry David info on when exactly he left and found zilch. I am pretty sure he was around until about season 7 though, which would blow everyone's theories here.

*edit* nevermind, just read dodgingcars post above. I was spot on!

This was asked about a year ago. My answer is still the same yet the Gods have answered my prayers.
