I think someone did tell him to chop it but it wasn't working. Brandon was pulling the rope to the edge while chopping.

Somewhere I hear Jeff P still saying, "And Jamie's STILL working on the first rope".

I love Brian's "Blake Baiting" strategy. And it must have worked! Blake, Brandon, Bobby Jon, and Danni had a money strategy and they tossed it, making their tribe physically weaker to boot. I wonder what Blake thinks when watching this air? The whole time he's been rationalizing that they voted him out because they were afraid of his strength, when it was actually because he was annoying and no one wanted to see him win the $1 million.

I honestly think they should have kept going eventhough they got blown away in that challenge! Maybe not giving up would have saved a lot of that negativity back at camp because they could look on the bright side and say that they didn't give up and finished the challenge!

Typically, I would agree but they were sooooooooo far behind it would have been lame and pointless.

I loved Jamie's answer to Probst when he said they all looked mad. You are supposed to look that way when you are about to compete. They were more focused to win that challenge.

I disagree. Getting blow out like that, I wouldn't want to waste anymore energy than needed considering food is not easy to get and it's a reward challenge.

It would have been nice if Blake's GF did have DD's and he survived long enough to see them during the visit-from-loved-one episode.

LOL. that would have been interesting especially since he most certainly exaggerated, like all his "frat boy" stories.

Damn, I forgot about that (I know: how can I forget DD's? It's a world of difference having them described and seeing with your eyes!). Now I'm sad that he's gone

Yeah, i felt bad for the dude. Especially when it was over and Probst says something like "and it falls on YOU Jamie". That was brutal.

Maybe it was just motivation?

It came from the Tedd Atlas school of motivation.

well, his teammates were yelling "hit it", not "chop it". That's what I remember. But still, why not just take a glance over and see what he's doing?

And Jamie tried that but the key to that strategy was to move the rope to the edge of the platform to get an edge on both sides.

The key was to keep the rope pulled tight. The way Jamie was doing it, it was kind of loose, and anybody who's cut a rope knows the trick is to keep some tension on it.

Yea. It's a combination of the two.

The chick who made the "gay" remark seems like a real asshole. Always blaming everyone else. She lost once before. Perhaps she should look at herself for a change instead of always faulting others.

She's come across as quite a dope the last couple episodes...but I think that's half of what people like in her - she sounds like any college kid (though she's obviously older). Yeah, calling people gay might sound bad on national TV, but in reality it's said quite a bit (around here, anyways) and it's not meant in a derogatory way towards gays.

That Tolkien guy was a homophobe too. People in his books were always throwing faggots in to the fire.

No. It shows her immaturity and ignorance. I wonder about anyone who would praise her for this.

Then exactly what is it meant to be?
