Which is a better blind buy... Smallville or One Tree Hill? I'm going to take advantage of the Warner Brothers rebate and the 18.88 Target price on TV season sets. So the the season one set will cost me a net of $10. I've never watched either show. Which one should I get?

If I *had* to choose between those two, I would go with Smallville...as a guilty pleasure show, it's decent. But I took advantage of that sale by getting Gilmore Girls and Nip/Tuck, both far superior to either SV or OTH.

I like both shows, but I'd probably go with OTH. Plus if you start recording the current season, you could probably catch up (like I did with the first 2 season DVD sets).

I agree with the above poster - Nip/tuck is the absolute best way to go.

That's a tough one. If I'm just gonna compare each show's first two seasons, then Smallville wins hands down. Smallville Season 1 was a little uneven, but it ended strong and Season 2(at least up until "Rosetta") was really good. Whereas One Tree Hill had a very good first year followed up by a mediocre second season.

Here's the problem though. Smallville had a shaky third year and Season 4 sucked hard. Meanwhile One Tree Hill is just entering its third season, so it could always bounce back(the premiere wasn't too bad).

Thanks for all your great opinions. I already have Gilmore Girls 1 & 2 & the first season of Nip/Tuck. I decided to go with Smallville 1 & 2 to fill up the rebate. Sounds like those may be it's best seasons.

I just did a blind buy on Smallville.

I like One Tree Hill.

If I had to choose between the two. I would go with Smallville. I like One Tree Hill too. Smallville has more special effects and One Tree Hill has more Drama aka a former show like Dawsons Creek which it is kind of like that
