Just Legal reportedly cancelled

TVGuide.com reports that Just Legal has been cancelled after three episodes. There has been no confirmation from the WB yet.

Link (may contain spoilers for other shows -- I didn't read past the first item)

The WB should definitely move Everwood back to Mondays, even if it won't affect when I get the episodes. I hate how the FCC has just been sitting on the application put in for bandwidth for a Richmond WB affiliate.

That's too bad. Sort of. It was getting better.

I hope, like Jad does, that the WB moves Everwood back into that Monday 9 p.m. EDT timeslot if Just Legal is indeed done.

Not a good year to be a lawyer show.

sadly for me, moving Everwood wouldn't help me out one bit in my scheduling conflicts since I currently record 2 1/2 Men, Prison Break, WWE Raw and Las Vegas in that timeslot. but if it helps in ratings I'm all for it. I'll just fire up the dvd recorder.

For this coming Monday only. After that, it has been replaced with a TBA - according to the latest information from the WB tonight.

Barely Legal was a lawyer show with Don Johnson (from Miami Vice) and some kid. Johnson was a burnt out older lawyer, the kid was a wiz-kid who was passed his bar exam at 18 or something like that but was too young to get a real job, so he had to work with this old burnt out lawyer.

I watched the premiere, wasn't impressed and haven't watched any other episodes. It's demise doesn't suprise me.

That sucks because the 2nd and 3rd episodes were far better than the weak pilot. Most probably bailed after the pilot.

You figure that the WB could either A) show some patience or B) move it somewhere else. That is a brutal timeslot: MNF, Prison Break, CBS comedies, and Las Vegas.

From that competition, it looks like most of those shows skew male. They really ought to counter-program with a show that would appeal to females...like Everwood.

Since I TiVo everything and watch it later that night/week, it really doesn't matter to me where they put it, but by moving it it would even out my Monday (Las Vegas/CSI: Miami) and Thursday (Joey/Survivor/CSI/Everwood/Without a Trace) nights.

Sorry Don... guess 7thH was a horrible lead in for you. WB should have known better.

I wouldn't have minded if they flipped it with Everwood. Thursday at 9 is CSI and nothing else, so maybe it could have found a niche there.

Chances are this is gone, but today I saw the e-mail that WB sent to their affiliates and they never said it was cancelled, the e-mail just said it's on "hitatus." Take that for what you will, but that's the term they used.

I wanted to watch this show, but I've been watching Prison Break and, since I work nights and only have a VCR - no Tivo or anything, I couldn't watch it. I was planning on catching it during the next couple weeks during the MLB playoffs when Prison Break isn't on or is repeats but WB killed that idea nicely.
