I'm ready for Conan O'Brien: The Kate Beckinsale Edition, or even Conan O'Brien: The Women of Prison Break Edition. U2, not so much.

He had White Stripes on 4 nights in a row last year.

I like U2 but i think too many people who don't listen to music anymore (at all) make them out to be kings of some sort (which they're not).

I'll watch for sure because it should be a good show with the interview. Who cares about them performing, we've all seen it 1,000 times.

"We were able to offer them something to feel enough like an event for them to do the show,"
Geez, pretty narcissistic...

Pretty good overall. The band performed All Because of You, Original of the Species, Stuck In a Moment, and Vertigo. Also Conan did a couple of little interview bits, one segment consisting of talking to the band about their early days and their performance on Tom Snyder's show in 1981 (in the same studio where Conan now films). There was a later segment where Bono talked a bit about The One Campaign, and Conan mentioned that Bono had been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. And earlier in the show was Conan talking to people who were lined up outside before the show.

The highlight though was The Edge, later joined by Bono, doing a "In The Year 2000" skit.

Fun stuff, though people who weren't U2 fans before probably wouldn't have cared for it much. Conan has always attested to being a huge fan though, so I'm sure he enjoyed it as much as anyone.
