Prison Break granted stay of execution....

Spoiler:
I guess more than half of the eps will deal with life outside the prison, because I honestly cannot see how they can delay the break much longer.

I said in the main thread we would have to hear soon if it was going beyond the original 13 episodes this season...and here we are.

I just hope the writers didn't have 13 episodes plotted and were on their way to next season before this announcement was made. Adding another 9 would be a lot of padding.

So is this the first new show of the season to be renewed?

See - I told you that this was not just going to be a 13-episode season.

Well, for once Fox is not cancelling a show I like. I take that as a good sign. Or possibly a sign of the apocalypse. Now if it could only piggy back Arrested Development with it.

I knew they would announce this soon! AWESOME. 13 eps just wasn't going to be enough for me.

Yup, same thing I'm thinking. I bet they break out on episode 13 and the rest of the season sinks like a stone.

Well, I hope not. They had to have some sort of plan to continue the story. Even if they do break out at that point, they'd be on the run.

They had a plan for the first season of 24 as well don't you think? They just used up all the good stuff early and were stuck padding for another 8 weeks.

30 day-stay of execution for Scofield's brother at the end of ep 13.

Does HBO count? Because ROME was renewed.

I love the show, but I'm somewhat disappointed by this. I was hoping to see this back, don't get me wrong. But I'm hoping this extension doesn't screw up/rush any planned storylines. Or even worse, the overpadding effect.
