Sounds like we're finally gonna see the US series version of Chris Finch.

I thought they introduced him briefly last season - or was he just talking to him on the phone?

Hubcap 09-27-05 03:30 PM

ahhh yea finchy was awesome in the british version. I wasnt to impressed with last weeks episode, hopefully this week will be better.

dhmac 09-27-05 04:55 PM

I wonder if this best friend is going to be as crude and obnoxious as Finchy? (Probably not, given that this is NBC)

Nesbit 09-27-05 05:24 PM

I just want to be the first to say that I don't like Todd Packer as much as Finchy.

Big Boy Laroux 09-27-05 05:32 PM

But Mrs. Nesbit, how could you know that? The episode hasn't even aired yet! :)

i just find that Todd packer is a pathetic attempt at recreating Finchy.

Nesbit 09-27-05 06:04 PM

Me too. He doesn't have the emotional impact that Finchy did. Oh plus the camera cut too many times and I hate America.

Brain Stew 09-27-05 08:48 PM

Wow. This episode is nuts.

Yeah, this episode is beautiful.

I've laughed nearly as much as I did watching the BBC episodes. This one was a classic.

kelso 09-27-05 09:00 PM

The last five minutes were brilliant.

redrum 09-27-05 09:03 PM

this show is hilarious.

Jimmy James 09-27-05 09:06 PM

If you ask me, they made a major blunder by not leading with that episode and promoting the crap out of it. That may have been the best one yet.

Ravenous 09-27-05 09:23 PM

Fuck!

I tried recording this while I watched the damn amazing race and my VHS ran out of tape and I missed this! I lost the last 15 mins.

Please someone tell me they rerun this on CNBC or something!

Gil Jawetz 09-27-05 09:27 PM

That was out of control! The only thing that would have made that episode more nuts would have been if Steve-O had run in, tried to strangle Michael, and put his foot through a coffee table.

ETA: And I just told my mom to watch this week for the first time! rotfl

B.A. 09-27-05 09:31 PM

The boner line at the end was thrown in there perfectly.

I second that.

HE Pennypacker 09-27-05 09:34 PM

An absolute hilarious episode. After a disappointing season opener, I'm quite pleased with tonight's showing.

story 09-27-05 10:14 PM

I missed this. In fact, I didn't know it was coming. I'm surprised with the success of 40-Year-Old Virgin, they didn't plug this show that much. :(

"Where's the clitoris?"rotfl

Fantastic episode

double check the upcoming listings at Bravo
I saw on the guide that they re-ran the season premiers (last week's episodes) of The Office and My Name Is Earl

"What has two thumbs and hates Todd Packer?"

"This guy."

The story of how Mike watch Todd bone the twins at the motel made me laugh... was that a shout out to the 40YOV?

Trivia: I just love it when I see actors that were in (little known) movies together in the same show: In Out Cold, David Denman (Pam's boyfriend Roy) was Lance, the bartender, and David Koechner (Todd Packer) was Stumpy, the village idiot/handyman.

Michael Corvin 09-27-05 11:27 PM

Brilliant. I thought this was up there with the basketball ep. Not sure which I would place on top, two way tie for best ep. ever.

Jim rocked in this episode.
