So you think they'll take one of the season's biggest new shows and only do a half season because it conflicts with 24? -screwy-

On the other hand, I've seen networks do dumber things. -ohbfrank-

At any rate, I'm really looking forward to tonight's episode.

jail scenes are pretty lame (compared to OZ) and of course plot holes.. but it is an entertaining hour of tv

redrum 09-26-05 09:03 PM

show keeps gettin better.

Patman 09-26-05 09:05 PM

This show is flat-out just fun to watch. You know a show is entertaining when you're shocked that the episode is over, and it felt like it was just getting started. I'll be back next week.

Jimmy James 09-26-05 09:06 PM

For all the talk about these sci-fi shows being the new LOST, Prison Break fills that role for me in one key regard: it is hard to understand how they could possibly sustain this storyline for the duration of a normal drama.

I agree.

I can't wait for next Monday now.

firteen88 09-26-05 09:45 PM

WOW, that was an intense hour. This show has quickly become one of my fav's. Wonder what they're gonna do about that guard, how are they possibly gonna stop him from saying something? And why did it say "to be continued" at the end, aren't they all "to be continued"? I LOVE THIS SHOW!

Jimmy James 09-26-05 09:46 PM

They don't show much baseball on Monday nights, do they? How long a stretch are we in for without this show when that time comes?

Joe Molotov 09-26-05 09:52 PM

Great episode. Maybe the best so far. And it looks like you guys prayers have been answered. Grandma and the Secret Service didn't make an appearance tonight.

Grandma and the Secret Service didn't make an appearance tonight.
The secret service actually did very quickly in the beginning of the episode

kevin75 09-26-05 10:09 PM

while i thought the premise of the riot was ridiculous, i throughly enjoyed the episode. especially the hot doctor.

That was a quick hour - and aside from the previously mentioned sub-plot that quite a few of us hate, the wife and I are digging this show.

I love how they reveal the one shithead is an inbred son of a brother and his mongoloid sister.

Sarah Wayne Callies is a beautiful woman - and she's doing a great job as the prison's doc/governor's daughter.

Red Dog 09-26-05 10:22 PM

That was a good episode. Certainly helped that there wasn't much of the omnipotent-feds plotline going on.

spainlinx0 09-26-05 11:12 PM

Very intense episode. I hope they snap the inbred's neck real quick, or just cut his throat. I don't think he'll be able to yell out anything then. If I was the guard, and they saved my ass (pun intended) then I would let the couple of them escape without saying shit.

fumanstan 09-27-05 12:01 AM

Strong agreement about this being a quick hour. It really did seem to end quicker then I thought. Great episode.

I still have this strange feeling that this show ends with them getting away and out of the USA only to then be throw in a mexican prison, so we can have season II :)

as for this ep, I thought it was great. The show was already moving along at an ok pace but this ep really cranked it up a few levels and for the most part had some pretty good twists.. Well not really twists like say 24 throws at a person but more, lets say "turns", as far as the story line goes. Most of them not stuff I had expected really..

Pretty much my fav new show of the season so far.

Fav line of the ep "You're good at math right?!?"

It has nothing to do with quality, I just don't think this part of the show was ever meant to last much longer. Think of how far along they are already, both in terms of the break and Lincoln's execution date. To be honest with you, I think this show is going to end up much more about the things that happen after the break than the act itself.

Chew 09-27-05 06:13 AM

If it was only a 13 episode order, with the intent of extending to a full-season if the ratings do well: we for sure would of heard something by now. That was episode 6 last night.

I was expecting "inbred" (yeah, I don't remember his name) to go over the side when he found out about the secret.

So was I - I don't know why they are all of a sudden so hesitant to kill him. The new C.O. sure as shit isn't going to say anything if they save his life - and they could make sure that he didn't see it to give him the ultimate deniability.

dadaluholla 09-27-05 07:39 AM

I have to say my love for the show is increasing every week (which is more than I can say for any other new show this season). If it ends up being only 13 episodes I might even consider buying it on dvd. I don't know if I could handle rewatching 20+ eps of it again but 13 seems to be a good number of shows.

My only guess for how they would handle a 2nd season (aside from the fugitive thing) is for someone to get left behind (like Michael) while the others escaped.

das Monkey 09-27-05 08:12 AM

This show is fun. It's like 24 without being so stupid. I fear it will be soon enough, but for now it's a decent ride, and  to minimal non-prison story (here's hoping we don't visit them on the trip to DC). Also like 24, the previews ruin everything. I hate that about Fox.

Impressed with last night's episode as this is now my favorite new network show this season (though that's not saying much).

It's now getting to the point where I just hit the "TiVo" button right when the episode ends.

das Monkey 09-27-05 08:42 AM

I'm pretty good at avoiding them, but football season kills it for me. I invariably see all the spoilage on Saturdays and Sundays.

So is there an episode next week, or do we have to wait til the end of the playoffs to see the next one.
