10.1 Million. And wow everyone passed on into the blue. Beat by flight plan, serenity, corpse bride, and a history of violence. I'm surprised how well it did. Didn't think there was that much of a following.

How do they count the weekend tally? Does it include Sunday, which isn't over yet? (I just got back and my sister and her husband are going later today--were we too late?)

I'm sure they include Sunday. That was the count from an article published this morning. The final $$$ count will probably me greater, but I doubt the order could change.

Actual the counts are done in a very stupid way. No information is available until very early Saturday Morning when they release the Friday numbers (this makes sense). Then Sunday morning they decide the weekend total using a forumal to extrapolate Sunday's intake based on Friday and Saturday numbers (typically the formula is fairly accurate, the problems arise in that the Saturday numbers are still preliminary, based on early returns and could be higher or lower thus affecting sunday's estimated total even within the formula; in a few words: the margin of error on this is ridiculous).

Lame. So the numbers released this morning are the official totals for the entire weekend. Just lame.
