Were some of the scenes on the "previously on AD" different than what was shown last time? It seemed so, but I couldn't really remember, but then again...thinking of how they do things with "next time on AD," I figured that they probably would change things up.

Finally, we got to see George Senior's chicken impression!

I feel like I missed an episode. They crammed alot of new information in that "previously on" segment. I feel like this was one of the weakest episodes. Maybe I need to watch it again.

The clips for next week look great

The laughs were spaced pretty far in this episode.

"Who brought a flash bulb camera in here?" was genius though.

Those 4,000 hair plugs were ghastly!

I totally LOL'd at Scott Baio's character's name as well.

OMG, that's just funny as well.

"You're a regular Brad Garrett"

It sounded like they dubbed the name in so I wonder what they would have done if Tambor had won the emmy

I didn't think it was that funny an episode. Had a couple of laughs, but for the most part it just seemed a little too out there. What was up with the Charlize character? Was she supposed to be funny? I hope it picks up, or this show really will never get the ratings.

Well I think this show specifically was meant to appeal more, the first time we ever had a previously segment on (or atleast so extensive).

And you know there really is nothing that can make this show more appealing unless it completely betrays its roots. I don't think that'll ever happen.

I loved the episode, personally, it had a lot of laughs, and I know there is a lot I missed. I can't wait to watch it again.

I agree. I enjoyed it, but it was kinda surreal. They've always skirted the edge of believable setups, but this time they didn't even try. Michael's buffoonery was a bit too much, too out of character IMO. Ron H was in peak form, though.

I watched this show for the first time tonight (heard many good things so I figured i'd give it a try). While I didn't dislike it, I didn't think it was hilarious. I laughed here and there but nothing more than that. Was this episode the standard for the show or are they usually funnier? I guess it would help if i knew the characters more but I just couldn't get into it like I hoped I would. I'll give it another try next week.

This one was a bit "off." While it had its moments, there was definitely more exposition than jokes. Charlize is booked for 5 episodes so this seemed like mostly a setup for what is to come.

Michael was off as well, character-wise. I got the feeling he had been hanging around Tobias too long. This episode definitely was more absurd than most.

I had tears in my eyes seeing that damn chicken dance. It is the dumbest fucking thing ever, but oh so funny. What put it over the top was Michael's response, "Has anyone in this family ever seen a chicken?"

Also loved the jab at Garret.

"Gotta watch for the live ins"
"More touchy"

I also thought this episode was a little off. Most episodes feel like they have been stuffed with as many jokes and information as possible, but this one just felt cobbled together, including the "previously on" part at the beginning. I didn't really laugh at anything other than the family chicken dance part. Hopefully they were just trying to get the next few episodes set up in this one.

See, and I thought this was an order of magnitude better than last week's. Different strokes, I guess.

So...was the ending an homage to another show? It was odd.

Yeah, because I thought last week's episode was one of the funniest of the series. This one just seemed aimless and random.

The ending was a goof on the James Bond films.

Charlize's character was strange. I really got the vibe that she was mentally handicapped for some reason.

I was hoping they would have Matlock on the show since he should have a relationship with the Producer and Narrator of the show!

Worst AD to date IMHO. A few good lines but overall it didn't work for me at all. Not seeing an episode like this bringing in new viewers. Most of the good parts were built from previous episodes which is great for the guys following from the start but the new guys checking it out were probably saying WTF a lot of times.

I loved Tobias's hair plugs, especially the blood running down his head. His head shots ROCKED!! Did his headshots say (seriously) under Leading Man?
