Bones - "The Man in the SUV" - 9/20
Spoiler:
Hope this one is better than the last one. It's a shame we only get this weeks and next weeks episodes before the show is off for a month.

I watched it, sorta. Wasn't too impressed, still, but I'll give it more chances. I like the premise, and the leads. The Asian Dr. friend is even growing on me. Hopefully they'll break out with some intriguing story lines, this one was just meh.

A lot of cringing going on for me during this show, and it was well deserved. This show has two more episodes to hook me or else I'm done.

I kinda watched it in the background. Can someone fill me in on the motivations? Since it aired, I ain't spoiling, but the brother was the bomber because he was a fundamentalist, correct? So why bomb his brother, and why did his brother drive to where he did? I still have it on PVR, but if someone can answer those questions, I'll probably just delete it

It wouldn't have mattered if he stopped there or not. His brother used the odometer as the trigger for the bomb. If he takes the same route home everyday, it still would have blown up there. I think the brother just chose the most popular place from dudes work to his home.

Yeah, but didn't he stop there, then take another phone call before it blew up? If he didn't stop, it would have blown up a down the road. Plus if he was stopped the odometer could not have moved.
Anyway, something struck me as I was watching this. How bad ass would Quincy have been if he knew martial arts?!

House was also down almost as much. NCIS took a big chunk of Bones' viewiers and My Name is Earl took some viewers from House. Next week will be the key week, if it doesn't do well, it probably won't comeback after the baseball playoffs.

I knew Boreanaz was key to my watching this, and after seeing this episode, it was clear to me why- his character, like everyone around 'Bones', is far more interesting than she is.

I don't particularly care for the lead actress. Her sister is so much cooler, I wish she was on this show. I liked the sort of gratuitous Boreanaz shirtless scene. I definitely found this ep more interesting & I hope that the show keeps improving.

She could have saved a lot of time IDing those WW2 bones if she just popped the skull into the Skull-o-tronic imaging machine to get a facial reconstruction.

There is something that bothers me about the way the Emily Deschanel reads her lines. She runs her words together and doesn't seem to empasise the right part of the word.
I'm still enjoing the show though.

This episode was better than the pilot, but I just don't know if I can handle too much more of "Bones..." "Booth..." "Bones..." blah blah blah Booth"..."Listen Bones..." "Booth..." "blah blah blah squints.."
Christ it's a rehash of the X-Files where every 3 lines either Mulder or Scully was said..and it's just so gd annoying. I'll give it one more episode, but I don't see myself making it through the next one.

Bones is not a bad show. I kinda liked it. Boreanz is good on the show. Weird seeing him in daylight. the woman, bones, is okay. something off about her. The supporting characters are likeable and interesting. I like the tension between regular cops and squints. Believe me the reality is squints solve cases and win court cases and regular cops hate that. they like the shoeleather approach. and the two sides do not respect each other as much as the other shows say.

Not even the hot chick from Crash, Bahar Soomekh, could keep me from wandering on this show for the second week in a row. I only watched because of Boreanaz. But I doubt I'll be tuning in anymore. I don't like the lead actress at all. Boreanaz is a weak actor but that was hidden within the fantastic writing and strong ensemble casts of Angel and BtVS. This show has neither.

Gave it a second chance, and while it improved slightly, I think it is off my list. Just cant get over the poor acting and ridiculous storylines. You really have to suspend any type of disbelief to watch this show, as the anthropologists all seem to be much better at solving crimes than the FBI (not sure if that is actually THAT hard to believe, but still...)
Anyway, the fact that Bones is allowed to kick the crap out of every bad guy without even being an actual law enforcement officer still wows me. She goes judo on everyone, shoots a guy, and still walks around side by side with the FBI! How long could this really last in a real "cooperative arrangement" with FBI and another agency or specialist, etc? And I agree with some previous posts, the "Bones, Bones, Bones, blah blah" gets really annoying, plus the forced sexual tension they are trying to add with Booth. And I still hate the Asian chick's character and acting...BLECH!~
