Just thought of a game.

Name where each of these TV shows took place:

1) Growing Pains
2) Family Ties
3) The Drew Carey Show
4) Mork and Mindy
5) The Mary Tyler Moore Show
6) St. Elsewhere
7) Northern Exposure

Feel free to add on if you wish...

Growing Pains took place on Long Island, and Family Ties took place in Ohio somewhere.

FAMILY TIES

The official line is that the Keaton's live in a never named suburb of Columbus, but in one episode, Alex says that he bought his clothes at a JC Penney's in Dayton.

I always thought it would be fun to start a TV "state" game to see if every state has been featured on a hit show.

I can already tell you that the answer would be "no", because of Delaware. Although depending on how you define "featured" and "hit", The Pretender could work.

For some reason I thought family ties was in toledo, ohio. I do remember an episode where they were going to go to Cleveland for an Indians game. Toledo is more of a Tigers city so maybe that doesn't fit. Columbus is reasonable.
