That's a better movie than 99% of the dreck sci-fi shows on their channel.

This is not the first time they have aired it either. They will also show other ABC Family type comedies from time to time as well. Who ever programs that station should be fired, but I guess it's better than a rerun of Alien Express.

it's not a bad movie, just a bad movie for a station called sci-fi

although a lot of their self made movies suck balls, at least they usually at least somewhat qualify as science fiction

Well, at least Liar Liar has more of a fantasy element than Braveheart does.

Surely you must be joking...

I mean, how else could you argue against such classics as Idaho Creature Incident, Ghost Monkey, Hammerhead: Shark Frenzy, and Man-Thing?!

Remind me again why "Liar Liar" qualifies as sci-fi...

It's speculative fiction because it's a contemporary fantasy. Not scifi, but I could see it as sf. If it were a short story, it could end up in Asimov's, Realms of Fantasy, or F&SF, but not in Analog.

So it isn't the most ridiculous thing scifi has aired. That honor goes to Braveheart.

the commercial for it was funny cuz they tried making it sound scary sci-fi "ish" with the scary horror movie trailer type voice

How could you skip Alien Train, Mansquito and Vampire-Warewolf-Alien-Zombies in love?

I'd buy Liar, Liar over Braveheart any day of the week.

Tasha actually makes a decent point. I love reading compilations of old scifi stories like that and I could see Liar, Liar fitting.

I guess it's no worse than the times they showed Field of Dreams and The Flintstones movie.

If it wasn't for the new Battlestar Galactica I could delete them from my remote altogether.

Isn't 'cruel intentions' about a teenager trying to fuck a girl so that he can eventually fuck his sister?

WHY is it on the FAMILY CHANNEL right now? (i'm serious, it's on)

Because corporate ABC doesn't care what the content is, as long as it generates ratings.
