Hypothetically/Realistically speaking...how long could "PrisionBreak" last?

Now...there was an opportunity to catch it on the 'net, but I passed. However, the commercials have me wondering...

Ok...so a dude's brother "kills" the VP's brother. Dude thinks his brother is innocent. Dude was able to get a look at the plans of the prison since someone in his firm had access to them. Dude gets himself arrested to help break his brother out.

Seriously, how long could this last? Doesn't it seem like it's a finite storyline that wouldn't take more than a season to tell [IF FOX lets it last that long]? Or is it going to be a modern day "Hogan's Heroes"?

For some reason I've been thinking "The Fugitive". How long did that run, 3 years?

My guess is he will do a "Prison Break" and be on the run.

Otherwise they'd call it "Incarcerated".

Some reporter asked that to one of the producers and they said the second season would be similar to

well, I thought 24 would only be 1 season but they found a way to stretch it forever. Prison break looks good but it is on fox so I will watch and enjoy it if it is good and not worry about the next season. The same thing could be said about reunion - the concept is gimmicky and it is on Thursday so I am not sure if it will last either.

I think that it would be cool if it lasted only the one season.

So, there's really no need to watch Season 1, because they've revealed that the prison break will be successful.

I hope that it last the first full season no matter how good the premise. We are talking about a Fox show, people. Who knows how long they'll keep it on the air.

Hell, with Fox what are the odds this will last for us to see the brother make it to prison.

I kind of had the same question about a former FOX series, Skin. Unfortunately, FOX never gave us the chance to find out.

I'm guessing Fox will air this show right up to the point where the viewers are completely wrapped into the storyline and then pull it. they will then replace it with their all new reality show "insert dumb ass show title here"

I seem to remember this show being like 24, where as one episode coincides with one hour of a 24 hour period..but maybe I'm wrong. Also on fox.com, it shows he has 1 month to live...not that it matters if
Spoiler:
he escapes before the season ends
but I just thought I'd mention that..

That is what I was thinking. What's the point now?

Actually I thought that
Spoiler:
the main character gets his brother out but somehow the MC manages to get caught and remains in prison. His brother's son then decides to try the same thing to get his uncle out b/c he saved his dad, for season 2.

Actually I watched the "net" version about 6 weeks ago. It is very solid. I was pissed b/c it leaves you hanging 24 style. Be prepared. Such a long wait for me to see ep. 2.

Maybe they could save the prison break for the final episode and turn it ito a fucking mess that makes no sence, with some dude singing 'The hip bone is connected to the thigh bone..." throught the entire thing.

Yeah, I wondered about that too. They showed the unaired episodes on Soapnet and I was happy that by the end of the unaired episodes, the characters had confronted each other about most of their secrets. I really would like to know where they were planning on going after that.

This is easy. At the beginning of each episode the guy gets arrested in a different way (recognized during a traffic stop, in a diner, on a bus, etc). And he's taken to jail to wait for the Feds to pick him up. Tthe next 45 minutes is him escaping out of whatever local jail they put him in. And at the end of each ep, the main Fed comes to transport him to the big prison, only to find that he has escaped minutes before.('Damn you John Sisco! Next time you wont be so lucky.')

Oh, and during his stay in prision he always befriends a minor criminal who helps him (the minor criminal will opt to stay in jail instead of following the main character to freedom. 'I want to pay for what I done. When I'm free, I want to earn it.') Also, he will unearth some type of corruption or find proof of a wrongful conviction that will reunite a man with his family.

You guys wonder how it'll last past one season? They could keep this crap up for 10.

I just hope Fox doesn't pull another John Doe and end on a cliffhanger.
