Depends what season. If just last year. Jack & Bobby, The Mountain, Clubhouse, Quints. And most heinously Dead Like Me. That show ruled throughout. Never knew why it was canceled, and don't care much why. It was jsut sad to see it go.

What are some other shows that got cancelled that pissed you off?

For me:

Star Trek: Enterprise (show really started to hit it's stride the last season)
Spin City (Even with Sheen, the show still was good)
The Job (although, had this not been cancelled, we wouldn't have Rescue Me)
C-16 (another show that was in the death slot on ABC)

Several shows I never heard of from reading the thread or dont remember.

The Chronicle sounds familiar but I dont remember it (Rena Sofer = show killer)

What the heck is C-16?

Shows that I only caught on dvd that got the shaft like Firefly, Sports Night

Fox seems to be the network that greenlights and picks up really good hourlong shows and then have no idea how to promote them.

Similarly themed shows Cupid, Joan of Arcadia, and Wonderfalls.
Great shows that didnt make it, so I hope that doesnt discourage similar shows from being developed or aired. I think there's something oldfashioned about having a gimmick to a show so they turn off a large part of the audience and never gain it back.

Quantum Leap was a gimmicky show but was tinkered with to death for the last season. Could have been greater for much longer.

Early Edition as well.

I would say Roswell also but the show got worse after the first season finale and couldnt find its way back up.

Shows that arent on dvd as of yet and arent on tv either like Ed (TBS stopped airing the reruns so they could show an hour of Becker, goddamn Becker to hell) and Karen Sisco. Total liars!! ABC said they would retool the show for a relaunch in the spring that never happened!!

Also the District, an underrated cop show I didnt notice till it was gone.

(Interesting note, the reality boom came in '01/'02 season immediately after the gameshow boom ended. Any drama not a lawyer or cop show got killed. Nobody seemed to notice all shows afterward was one or the other.
Dramas are just coming back NOW.)

Sorry having a bad flashback of when KEEN EDDIE and KAREN SISCO were cancelled around the same time, really turned me off tv since then..

Futurama (DAMN you Fox)
Jack & Bobby (Probably the second best show of last year)
Clone High (for the love of God you left the show on a cliff hanger and then dumped it)

forgot about Wolf Lake.

Liked this better than Kindred: the Embraced.

Really got into the characters and storyline.

AND only show I know of that had the distinction of being cancelled by TWO networks in the same year: CBS and UPN. Why do people hate Lou Diamond Phillips so much?

Karen Sisco and now to a lesser degree Threshold. Of course, my wife still misses Nash Bridges on Fridays.

Is this the show with John Stamos as the lead character? If it is, it hasn't been cancelled yet and I'm pretty sure that is a mid season replacement show on ABC for this season and will be airing sometime next year.

You're right LorenzoL. It's Jake In Progress, was gonna be cancelled but ABC has decided to give it another run. It will be back.
I too will miss Arrested Development, by far one of the best on TV and Kitchen Confidential should have been given more time.

1. Farscape - I'm very happy we finally got a mini series to tie up loose ends but still mad at Bonnie Hammer for cancelling it in the first place when all they needed was one more season...I can't believe I gave scifi another chance after Bonnie Hammer cancelled...
2. MST3K - this was one of the formative shows of my youth...watched it from the 3rd season onwards. First cancelled by Comedy Central and then cancelled by Bonnie Hammer when it was still a very funny show.
3. Karen Sisco - I absolutely loved this show for the 6 episodes that aired originally...loved all 10 when I finally caught them...All I really want is a dvd release for this show and I might be able to forgive.
4. Home Movies - Another show that made me very sad when it ended. Not sure the reasons why it got canned but at least the dvd sets are among my most watched.
5. Firefly - Watched since the first night and I knew right then that it was just my type of show.
6. True Calling - I wondered during the hiatus between s1 and s2 if the show would stay good...it did...wish it had stayed around for awhile longer.
7. Angel - I'm not THAT angry about angel anymore...the finale it got was VERY good and I felt served the show better than actually seeing what happened after....but I still miss it a lot.
8. Futurama - Fox screwed with this show so much that it was almost a mercy killing. Thank goodness for TIVO or I might NEVER have known when new episodes were on. These are probably my MOST watched tv sets. My wife loves it when I put them on
9. Jeremiah - I at least didn't feel put out by the 2nd season ending. I wish it had gone on for much longer though...it took me a long while to get into it but then it was terrific. Loved Malcolm jamal warner in this show.
10. Odyssey 5 - I'm even more pissed Showtime cancelled this show...some of the plots were kind of cliched and silly but I really liked the acting and the characters...Can I get a dvd release of these 20 episodes?

Michael

You're kidding? It actually got the axe? I know there is as much speculation about it as can be imagined, but I never heard anything definitive. I stay far away from the AD threads, though. The fans are too fanatic and the naysayers are too blatant for me to bother wading through the muck. I'm sad right now, though.

I agree with your point here, but I still cringe whenever I think about how much I soooo wanted to see more of Illyria. I thought she was a hell of a character and really wanted to see how she would develop.

Firefly (I still don't believe they canceled it!)
Arrested Development (possibly one of the funniest shows of all time)
The Job (a great show!)
Keen Eddie (never got a chance)
Karen Sisco (very original)
Fastlane (pure entertainment)
Star Trek: Enterprise (it had just found it's voice)

I don't think there have been a higher number of great shows that didn't make it than in the last few years

Most of the same usual suspects, but I'll list 'em anyway.

Angel - could have gone on longer.
Roswell - should have at least gotten a full 3rd season, so the ending didn't have to be so rushed.
Enterprise - was just hitting it's stride.
Firefly - goes without really saying
Crusade - ditto Firefly
Farscape - ditto, again
Odyssey 5 - this REALLY needs to be on DVD. Canceled Showtime before they aired the final four eps.
Feaks And Geeks - could have gone on longer
Tru Calling - was also just getting real interesting.
Brimstone - great premise, that didn't get to reach a conclusion.
Carnivale - second season was better than the first, would have liked to seen where it was going further.
Clone High - which I finally got on DVD (it's legitimately available, but released only in Canada, for anyone who's interested). A clever, twisted and truly funny animated show.

...and not that I'm pissed it was canceled, but does anyone else remember Malibu Shores? This NBC show was essentially The O.C., only about 8 years before. It had Kerri Russell (before Felicity) and Charisma Crapenter (before Buffy) as well as a host of other now familiar faces.
