Just finished today's episode and it really does look like Ryan was holding back Melody. I'm not sure what happened. The first weeks of the partner dancing/voting he had different ballroom/latin dances that were new to him, but the judges were giving him standing O's. I hope he stays, even though the other couple did much better in the partner dancing today. He is the funnest one to watch on the show easily. Again the dancing was very fun to watch, even the uber slow lyrical pieces.
(Side note: Ryan should have saved his solo performance from last week for later in the competition, as it was so good/interesting/different/everything. He oculd have beat anyone with that, and I hate to say it but I don't think even he could outdo it)

Wow, no one was watching? I caught it for the first time since the first show - I'd forgotten about it. Looks like I missed a lot. But FWIW, Jamil (sp?) and Destini were AMAZING on their second dance. I couldn't believe they got nominated for elimination. Their first one was only mediocre, but the second one should've completely made up for it. Like the judges themselves said, no other two people in the room could've done that dance. Anyhow, I think Ryan will be voted off even though he was much better than Jamil in the individual dance off. I think he's just not versatile enough for pair dancing. Quite frankly, I think he's a little uncomfortable up there. He seemed to feel badly about letting down Melody.

Oh well, I missed this week's show. I setup to record in my DVR and somehow my gf screw it up where it did record but with the Seinfeld title? So I've deleted by accident. I guess I will see if I can get it from the net somewhere.

Sounds interesting. I still don't understand why the judges back Jamile most of the time though. I don't think he is the versatile type, if that is what the show is looking for. I think this competition will be won by Blake or Nick.

Yeah, that Ryan hanging-up-the-phone thing really puzzled me... I don't think it was him trying to be cool, but trying to get off the show. My wife thought it was maybe because he was acting a little immature for being nominated again, but they were definitely in the bottom two, and everyone was incredible.
I cannot believe the pairings: basically, everyone in this show had the same partners as last week's show, except for Ryan and Melody, who got each other because their partners were booted... what are the chances? And Jamile got another ballroom dance?
There are certain things that have to be fixed. No way that anyone but Jamile and Destini get that choreagrapher. I mean, I know they change the dance to suit the dancers, but still...
I don't get why they film a separate elimination show but then show it during the dance show anyway. My only guess is that they wanted this to be like American Idol, but it doesn't draw enough viewership to take up two nights of the week. Still, it's a long hour and a half show...
I think Destini and Ryan are gone, though Melody seems to be on the block every week (and every week it's the same thing: Melody, you were perfect, but your partner...)

I think Ryan really didn't want to be on the show anymore because he felt out of his league. They critiqued him harshly and he knows he's not a classically trained dancer. I also think he doesn't want to hurt his partners (by getting them put up). Melody is a great dancer and she was nominated mostly because of him. He is a great breakdancer however. Too bad the show is about being versatile.

he current episode is still on here, and Ryan jsut got kicked off. Very anti-climactic for me. He couldn't do it all, but he could do, he did very very well. Even the not hip hop form the first 2 voting episodes was remarkable. I think his antics from the last episode got him kicked off (as he said he would have sacrificed himself for Jamile), so if it is what he wanted, I can't complain even if it isn't what I wanted.
Edit: I like the new format. More dancing less mindless junk.

Guess the voting is fucked up zuffy. I agree though, no way Jamile is in the same league as artem. If he stays another week people are giving him affirmative action votes or Blake and Nick are splitting the votes of all the sane people.
I can't believe Camillah (sp?) made it this far either. She pretty awful.
I loved the disco routine of Nick and Melody. Probably my favorite partner routine I've seen. I remember form the beginin Melody join the competition with her roommate who was also a dancer. Is nick that roommate?
I want Nick to win for the guys. Jamile is junk, and Blake is too full of himself, besides he already has done professional dancing, and even had articles written about him. As for the girls, I'd be happy as long as it isn't Camillah.

Well, my cable company cut out halfway through last weeks show, so anyone want to tell me what happened?
I know that inexplicably, jamille survivied while Blake left (this is either because of demographics, or the idiotic pride he showed in the early auditions... his dancing has been amazing, especially his last solo). And all four finalists danced in every conceivable pair... so is there a final show this week to show the winner/winners? I'm still not clear if a pair wins, or if it's just one person...

1 final episode this Wednesday. They danced in each pair (including boy/boy and girl/girl), each individually, then an impromptu dance. It was pretty interesting. I've been rooting for Nick and Melody since Ryan got voted out, so I hope they win. But I'm not sure if it is a pair or a single person who wins.
