Season 5 will air on Thursdays at 8PM on the WB. It will premiere in September, but I don't think an actual date has been established yet. Probably sometime within the next month.

maybe they should take some lessons from "24" and show the complete season in 24 consecutive episodes, maybe then they wouldn't lose the rating like they did this past season. I dvr'd my shows, but i remember Smallville being shown on different nights and times, with long gaps in between new shows.........it was too much to keep up with.
I'm ready for Season 5, but i hope they do it right this time!

LB: And in order to get viewers customed to the day change, the WB (starting this week) has moved the repeat viewings of Season 4 episodes from Wednesday at 8:00 pm to Thursday at 8:00 pm.

Yeah, Smallville aired all its new eps this past season at Wednesdays at 8pm. Not exactly hard to keep up with. I think the falling ratings are more due to a kind of less than stellar season coupled with the fact it was on against Lost.

The killer's gonna be trying to pick which show to watch and which ones to tape, Tivo, or obtain by other means. Especially given how all of them are coming off of mediocre seasons. It's like picking your poison.
