Yes, from what I've read (although CBS could always change their mind at the last minute), this will be revealed to the viewers (but not the houseguests, obviously) on the first episode.

Here are some more details from aintitcoolnews (this "secret twist" is a little more detailed than what I posted earlier):

Spoiler:
For the first time, every houseguest will be entering the house and playing the game with a secret partner -- someone they know from the outside world. Friends, co-workers and significant others will play the Big Brother game as secret duos. The twist is that each secret team believes that they are the only pair in the house (pairings will be revealed to TV viewers during the first live broadcast on July 14). Each twosome knows that if they can keep their secret and end up being the last two people in the house, the winner will win $1,000,000, the biggest cash prize in Big Brother history, with the second place finisher winning $250,000. If a twosome does not make it to the final two, the winner will win $500,000.

Pulled from another story:

"Most are in their twenties with the oldest HouseGuest being Eric Littmann, the 36-year-old firefighter from Boston. Unlike previous seasons, their professions are pretty mundane ranging from an emergency room nurse to a horse breeder.

Following are the 14 houseguests, listed across in alphabetical order, who will compete in Big Brother 6:

Maggie Ausburn, 26, Emergency Room Nurse

Beau Beasley, 25 Personal Shopper

Ivette Corredero, 25, Waitress

Michael Donnellan, 28, Artist

Ashlea Evans, 22, Fashion Design Student

Howie Gordon, 34, Meteorology Student

Sarah Hrejsa, 22, Retail Manager

April Lewis, 30, Pharmaceutical Sales Rep

Eric Littmann, 36, Firefighter

Janelle Pierzina, 25, Cocktail Waitress

Rachel Plencner, 33, Horse Breeder

James Rhine, 29, Loss Prevention Manager

Kaysar Ridha, 24, Graphic Designer

Jennifer Vasquez, 27, Arena Football League Dancer"

She's from Minnesota and actually won Miss Minnesota.

Other than two waitressing jobs they have avoided the usual cast of bartenders and wanna-be actors (otherwise known as unemployed bartenders).

As hard as it is for even me to believe, my wife is much hotter than her dontcha' know. So come on up for a visit sometime der' hey. Then again, she hails originally from Utah, the country's best kept secret source of amazingly hot women.

So reading www.fansofrealitytv.com, it seems that Ivette has a MySpace http://www.myspace.com/2758092 account and it states that she is a lesbian!

Which might well mean that there's *another* lesbian in the cast too, and that they're secretly a couple...

Since everyone in the cast is already in a secret relationship with another cast-member...

CBS producers really want fireworks, they got four from South Florida in the house! Should make things interesting.

From your own spoiler, which says that this "secret" won't be revealed tonight, but next week, "during the first live broadcast on July 14".

Yep, looks like several of these girls have had some work done.

My wife said right away that April had a nose job. I still like her though.

And several of these people are already getting on my nerves.

Looks like the summer of boring to me. Each year the cast gets more cliche. And now that they do that "secrets" mumbo-jumbo - it takes away from the show. I want 16 people who all have never met (no actors, friends, brothers, sisters, cousins, etc. etc.) - to get into the house.

I'll give the show another chance or two, but will definitely drop it if it stays the way it is.

So is this going to be the thread for discussion of the shows?

The cast seems interesting. Not as over the top as last year with the four horseman. It is still early so it's tough to see who I'm going to like and dislike. Initially I'm not liking Janelle (miss mn). Early favorites - Rachel and James.

They also seem to deliver better men, in general, than they do women in my opinion.

Early on, my wife and I usually don't find it easy to like most of the house guests. It was no different tonight.

Sarah was ok, Michael was nice, and the very thin white guy seemed nice. But, most of the others were very annoying. Hopefully, as some players go, some of the "better" people's personalities will come out.

But they seem to just assume men only like fake, giant boobed, thin women and don't care about anything from the neck up. There were quite a few great bodies, but the faces were pretty average to pretty awful.

I agree, but, for me, the cliche was more of the majority of the women having robo bodies with really plastic, unattractive faces-like Janelle, but she was not the only one...just the worst.

I'd rather no stunts either, but they can't change that now. What will make the show interesting is whether we get a few people to really root for. So far, I saw maybe 3 potentials, but it takes a few weeks to know.

I do agree that without the secrets crap, that it would probably be more entertaining and with better people.

Anyone else find the lesbian's girlfriend to be really, really ugly? I know that's mean, but I nearly jumped off the couch when the pulled back the camera to reveal her.

I thought the twist was interesting, but I'm more interested in seeing how this fancy new house reveals its secrets. Considering that they built it from scratch after 5 seasons, I'm sure they had a lot of ideas in store.

I hope when they reveal the pairings this next week that they always show us who's paired with who when they show us their names under their faces. It could be hard to keep track of for a while.

If I'm not mistaken, the two on the surfboard at the end of the challenge are together, right? I thought they said something to each other about the fact that others might realize they're IN a two-person alliance, rather than "forming" an alliance...

P.S. For those who wonder what's going on in the Internet feeds, there is great coverage at the JAM! Big Brother site. You can click on the chat button, then read the transcript or archive for regular updates with pictures and summaries.

Sarah is cute. Rachel sort of has Jennifer Wilbanks eyes, don't find her all that likable.

The fireman is playing up the Tommy Gavin role from "Rescue Me".
