I was really disappointed when Ari's new assistant wasn't another hot chick, but Lloyd was great in this episode. "He told me he'd chop me up Beni Hana style. Do you know how many times I've told him I'm Chinese?"

Jeremy Piven needs the emmy for Supporting Actor. He was born to play Ari. His demeanor, mannerisms and outburst in the therapist's office were brilliant. I can't say enough about how much improved this season is over last. Great show!

I love Piven...when he started going crazy or when he yells in general he reminds me a bit of Trey Parker ala BASEketball, etc...

I totally forgot the whole Leo/Mark casting thing for Boogie Nights. That makes a lot of sense in the context of this show.

I was just watching CNN and apparently Cameron (in real life) is developing a movie about a pair of sport divers. I wonder if this might be what he is really working on in the series as well?

I belive Queens Blvd is the parallel to Basketball Diaries. The smaller independent film that gave credibility to it's star (or stars in BD's case - Marky and Leo) as not just a pretty face. I think QB will win at Sundance and then Warner will come back to Vince.

Also, if this really does parallel Marky's and Donnie's respective careers then look for Drama to catch a short role in a huge film (6th Sense) and make a little comeback of his own (Band of Brothers)...

Queens Blvd is the parallel to Boogie Nights. Wahlberg got to make that one if he signed on for a studio blockbuster (Planet of the Apes). I agree on the Drama thing though, if they truly follow Mark's career then Vince will always be the bigger star, but Drama will be clearly the better actor with better "acting" roles.

But he did 5 movies inbetween :scratch2:

I never considered the Walhberg "true story" line before. Drama is SO weak - to come up with that girlfriend line was hilarious. I hope they give him some little slice like Donnie got in The Sixth Sense. Drama would be howling that that was the start of his HUGE comeback. :lol:

Remember this show switches timeslots on July 10th to 10PM. I guess HBO is trying to trick people into accidentally watching Six Feet Under. So much for Monday night is the new Sunday.

Anyway, I was wrong about the give/take on getting make Boogie Nights, but Planet of the Apes is Vincent Chase's Aquaman. Cameron was attaches to Apes for a while as well.
