dewberry had the biggest NATURAL breasts i've ever seen on a person. I will never be able to rid that horrible horrible thought from my head.

They should have taken a cue from Joe Schmo's topless Brian episode and pixilated out his man-boobs.

Tommy Ceez 06-07-05 11:26 AM

The episode was spoiled last night because of the hundreds of commercials that showed a not-yet-occured confrontation between Ramsey and Jeff.

"Im not a quitter'
'Your not a fucking cook either'

shanester 06-07-05 05:09 PM

I love this show
I think chef Ramsey is hilarious. Telling customers off is the best part

"You do f'k all for me either"
"Finally your head's coming out of your asshole now sit down you stupid shit"

What I don't get is the reaction of these idiots after being insulted. While most people would jump over the counter and kick his ass they just stand there witha big grin on their faces like "Hey I've just been insulted by the master Chef..cool!!" :scratch2:

tasha99 06-07-05 05:31 PM

Better show than the first one since chef Ramsey seemed more like a real person.

I couldn't believe that one chick who passed him in the hall the night before, asked if he was okay, then just went on her way with no answer. Who does that? She should win some sort just-doesn't-give-a-damn award.

I'm sure for the most part the Fox bigwigs told friends and family that there was a reality show and this place is opening up and by going, they may get on TV. Obviously, people are going to act differently with the cameras there than without which explains why most people don't get really pissed. Do all that many people go talk to the chef in real life? I didn't think so, but am guessing after a couple hours and people are unhappy, they are asked if they want to talk to the chef (with Fox knowing that is their money shot on this show). I really liked it when the "pretty girls" went up there obviously thinking they could sweet talk the chef into doing what they want like they have done their whole lives. Chef put them in their place. I love this show and will be catching every episode I can and will tell others to watch it. Good stuff.

Yeah I have to say that I wanted to hate this show but it has grown on me like a bad infection...This past week seeing him go from a decent guy, to an asshat in a matter of minutes was good tv. And to see him pick on Dewberry was f'in hillarious. I really thought that there for a second Dewberry was going to pick up a knife and stab the shit out of him.

lordzeppelin 06-07-05 10:40 PM

I love it. Ramsay is such an ass, but he gets results. He's hamming it up a bit from his BBC shows though...on the BBC shows he was a bit more direct and personal with his comments, on here he just seems to be mean, but not as personal.

All in all, great show, and I can't wait to see what he says to someone next. And I can't wait until Jeff get's booted, that whiny bitch. And then Andrew's smarmy ass - he's got that typical "short-guy" attitude going, like he's going to be Mr. Tough or something. Dude needs to realize he's just flesh for the beast on this show...Andrew's Perfect Penne my ass.

deadlax 06-07-05 10:58 PM

I wish he used some of the british slang he loves from his other shows, especially "taking the piss." He says it so well.

I heard him use prat and one other (I forget which), but then he has to explain what they mean which causes a loss of impact.

Well, I'm wondering if they needed to be coaxed up there. Undoubtedly these people are getting FREE meals at Ramsay restaurant which most of them (especially Mr. "I've got a PhD in Musicology - what have YOU got?!") would never be likely to experience. So they really have no reason to bitch.

If you were paying, yeah get upset then walk out on your check once you've made your complaints known to the staff and management. If it is free, just leave if you're hungry instead of being a dick and ordering in pizza (which IS in fact a health code violation)... a stunt undoubtedly encouraged by the producers as well.

I mean are people really THAT stupid? Hmm... maybe I should retract that question.

That dude pissed me off sooo badly! WTF is a degree in musicology anyway? I'm willing to bet the host for Ramsay makes more bank than that guy. I suppose he has some superiority complex becuase he's eating there instead of seating people...

I've got nothing to add really other than add me to the list of people who really like this show, at least for summer entertainment.

Chris: It's salmon on a cedar plank.

Ramsey: You're a plank.

Chris: I don't know what that means, chef.

I just caught the first two eps on Monday, and I really enjoyed the show. I gave it a Season Pass.

I just took a break and watched a recorded episode of "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares" for the first time. What a terrific show. Ramsay is toned down from what you see on "Hell's Kitchen," but still himself. You can tell he genuinely cares about bringing out the best in the people he's working with. He is also very complimentary when he feels it is warranted. But he is brutally honest when appropriate as well. Highly entertaining. Can't wait to see the rest and I am looking forward to "Kitchen Nightmares Revisited."

If anybody's interested (or is home to record it), "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares" is on BBCA at 3pm and 4pm CT today.

Thanks, I should have mentioned that. Episodes are also going to be rerunning several times throughout the coming week or two.

That's the one!

big whoppa 06-09-05 05:40 AM

This is a disaster waiting to happen. Expect these people, some of who have no kitchen experience, to cook and run a restaurant ready to open in a matter of minutes? Very little instruction for cooking the meals and stress-induced profanity from a insane, hypocritical chef. Cursing out your patrons to boot. Does it take a guy to spout profanity after profanity to make it for ratings?

mphtrilogy 06-09-05 08:31 AM

Finally caught the last two eps, a lot more beleivable Than The Restaurant last year. I liked the fact that he did not let any of the food go out if it was not up to snuff, unlike Rocco who coudl care less.

Solid Summer reality show

deadlax 06-13-05 08:37 PM

New Episode tonight - "I thought cold water boiled faster than hot water."

aktick 06-13-05 08:47 PM

Thank God that dumb bastard quit...

Bill Needle 06-13-05 09:46 PM

AAGH!! My kid cut the DVR off after only 16 minutes. I missed the meat of the episode. Only caught the last minutes with it, thinking it was recording. Hopefully some kind soul can fill me in on the challenge (post shopping) through the firing selection.

Actually a lot of people have that misconception, mainly because hot water actually freezes faster than cold water.

Show is slowly getting better, Ramsey is surprisingly not that irritating.

Sort of. It depends on conditions, and even controlled tests have had different results. It is quite common though.

I enjoy this show immensely. It beats most of the other reality shows.
