The Shield "Back in the Hole" 5/24/05

"Back in the Hole"

Vic and Monica try to get Antwon to admit he was involved in the cop killings; Monica is shocked when Vic and Shane confront her with information about Angie's body.

Rypro 525 05-24-05 01:48 PM

remeber for you vcr owners, that tonights episode is 90 minutes.

dadaluholla 05-24-05 02:22 PM

90 minutes is odd. Just go ahead and give us a full 2 hours of Vic Mackey goodness please.

MovieExchange 05-24-05 10:29 PM

Good ep. The season started off really poor for me, but has vastly improved as it progressed.

Looks like the shit hits the fan next week... from epguides.com:

Spoiler:
Vic's wife tells him she's been seeing Dutch

Switched to the basketball game during the commercial and missed the preview. What else did it show?

Thanks.

Great episode tonight. The 90 minutes flew right by. I also agree that this season has picked up steam during the second half. Next week's episode looks intense!

MrX 05-24-05 11:32 PM

"You doin' his mom up the ass when you knocked her up"

Great episode

im actually dissapointed the way they caught antoine, wouldve liked for something bigger to happen.. decent episode tonight, but i expected more

Great Episode.
The Aceveda storyline is really, really good stuff and Benito Martinez has been *awesome* in playing him as a tortured, power hungary 3 Dimensional character, so  to him.

Speaking of awesome, Walton Goggins has been nothing short of it this season.

How great was Glenn Close in this episode. Wow. This will probably the one submitted for Emmy consideration, and in my mind seals any doubt about who should win the Female Drama Lead award.

Vic always has his play, and we shall see if this was the right one. Amazing how close Shane was to killing Antoine right there in the interrogation room. Very intense stuff.

I kind of felt sorry for the whore. I think she really felt like she was good at helping people through their issues, and even after Aceveda went psycho on her she was kind and thoughtful in her words. And all he could say was "A good man wouldn't be here with you" and "Get out."

Groucho 05-25-05 09:16 AM

Because this was 90 minutes long, I assumed it was going to be the Season Finale. Glad I was wrong.

Phil L. 05-25-05 09:42 AM

I missed some earlier aspects of the show. In the beginning of this season he was replaced by Glenn Close as captain.
But now, can someone give me a quick rundown on how/why Aceveda is back on the force and in a regular patrolman uniform?

MrX 05-25-05 09:44 AM

He was helping out in the search for the missing cops from last episode

He is a police reservist.

What an awesome episode. Had a great feel and pacing throughout. As usual, I hated the non-main storylines, but there were some amazing moments in the episode. Chiklis should win the emmy every year.

I agree. What did she say to Antoine in the interrogation, something along the lines of He could be doing blank instead of doing dick.

MrE 05-25-05 03:12 PM

Anthony Anderson was terrific in this episode, too -- his almost hidden tears when hearing about his son, his sudden cunning when being interviewed by Shane etc. Especially since his physical range was limited and he was left to show us his thoughts with his eyes and facial expressions. Actually the whole cast did a great job tonight.

yup
I think he mentioned a few weeks ago that he does a shift or two a month to keep his pension

Awesome episode and awesome show.. This and Lost are the only 2 shows that I DVR that I have to watch the same night it's recorded.

Phyre 05-25-05 05:30 PM

From the way it was editted for a long while I was so sure Lemonhead had gotten to the body before everyone else and was merely waiting to see how far Shane would go into remorse before telling everyone that he had everything under wraps.

DJ_Spyder 05-25-05 05:59 PM

I have a feeling we have not seen the last of Antwon Mitchell and Vic beter not get too smug about nailing him either he still has problems with Monica and his soon to be ex-wife.

Deftones 05-25-05 06:08 PM

Easily one of the best episodes of this show ever.
