They missed a golden opportunity to have Ferrell come out during the Weekend Update bit, dressed as John Bolton, and beat the crap out of Seth Meyers - that would have been GOLD!

Missed the whole show. Been out of it, didn't even know Ferrell was hosting.
I *need* to see that Celeb Jeopardy. And cowbell too if possible. Any links, please?

Those guys from Queens of the Stone Age are either great actors or have no sense of humor: I couldn't believe they didn't crack up during the cow bell. I would have had a hard time keeping a straight face.

Well, I'm back from NYC, and since I caught a cold while in the city, I slept through the time to get in line for tickets.
Instead, I dropped $145 on a ticket to see Faust at the Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center.
The ep is on my TiVo and I'll watch it this week.
... by the way, has anyone seen Charlie?

Is he a "Star Wars" fan by any chance? Maybe he's waiting outside the theater already...

wow, talk about a huge letdown. started out great, jeopardy was amazing. then... not so good, culminating in the movies sketch, which was awful.
actually, ferrell was ok in that, when he describes why his breath was bad. but the rest was all over the place.
"smells like you smoked a dookie cigar!" is that supposed to be funny? god, sanz sucks.
the Jag-u-ar sketch was bizarre.

Charlie made a post in "Other" that he's gonna be on vacation in Orlando all weekend and his review for SNL would come later this week.

"Jeopardy" was hilarious. Not in the arse.
The Cowbell during QOTSA was golden.
"Shazzang" had me laughing my ass off. It was fucking stupid, but still hilarious.
But you just knew the show was in trouble once they did that Nuney crap.
Why can't the writers and performers figure out which sketches work well enough to be recurring and which don't? It's not rocket science to know that Nuney is a dog.

All they needed to do was bring back Kataan for a Roxbury Guys, or a Harry Carey, or even a Terence Maddox sketch. Hell, any of those write themselves, and are automatic laughs, even just for the nostalgia of seeing those characters again. Just last night my kid was in for a sports physical and he used a Terence Maddox line on the doctor. The doc asked him if he was having any problems and he replied, "No. In fact, I just took a hepatitis test at the free clinic. I kicked ass. I got an A, two Bs, and a C." The doctor had apparently never seen the SNL sketch and was initially startled by what this 15 year-old had just said, but then did a . I was so proud.

Got this rapid share link off of the QOTSA message board.
