It's great that FOX plays their Friday night movies in HD, but all of the commercials are teh suck.
|
Key questions I have:
1. Is Eyes dead even though ABC hardly gave it a chance? 2. Will FOX look beyond the ratings of Arrested Development and greenlight a 3rd year? 3. Is L&O-TBJ dead as is being reported today? 4. Where will Boston Legal go? Tuesdays at 10? Wednesdays at 10? 5. How many Lost and Desperate Housewives clones will there be? 6. Will we see more Alias-like (hold until mid-season and go with a straight run with no repeats/preemptions) scheduling? |

As already indicated on the Arrested Development thread, Eonline "Kristin" is indicating that Arrested Development has been renewed for a full (22 episodes) third season and possibly fourth season.
Edit - Kristin not Wanda. |

Also in the "Kristin" article, it looks like "Jack and Bobby" is a goner and that "Jake in Progress" will be back:
You Don't Know Jack, and That's a Crying Shame: It's the best show people stupidly ignored this season, which is why it breaks my heart to tell you sources have confirmed Jack & Bobby is a goner. Earlier this week, when I called J&B boss Greg Berlanti hoping for good news, he told me, "You're so sweet to be holding vigil. It's like day 14 of Terry Schiavo, and you're not giving up. No decision has been made yet, and we haven't been told. But as the clock ticks, I can tell you, it doesn't look good. The network has been so supportive. I think everyone's sort of scratching their heads as to why it's not doing better than it's doing, and everyone loves it and acknowledges that the acting is superb and there are great stories, but it may very well be our fate to join the ranks of My So-Called Life and Freaks and Geeks." That damn show. So good, it makes me cry nearly every week. And I swear I was all choked up by the end of Berlanti's call. (Yes, I'm that much of a sap and a fan.) Still, please keep in mind that nothing is official yet. We'll get the final word on all the shows starting Monday in New York City, when the networks unveil their fall schedules. I will be in NYC every day this week on E! News at 7 p.m., bringing you the breaking news and, quite possibly, offering to have Peter Liguori's baby. And even more good news--I just heard that my unrequited loverboy John Stamos will stay gainfully employed next season. Another rock-solid source tells me ABC has picked up Jake in Progress for 13 episodes. http://www.eonline.com/Gossip/Kristi...05/050513.html |

Yep - no chance. They get decent enough ratings on the repeats, so they won't fuck with what has worked. |
If Jake in Progress comes back and Eyes doesn't, I will be seriously pissed at ABC.

Or hold out all hope like me. :) The critics loved it and they are only going to give it a one month shot in an already crowded time slot? Give me a break - they have to give another try over the summer. |

Lost would be PERFECT for the straight 24 episodes. Notice how since Lost has come back..its ratings has dropped? Too many things going on..people lose interest when they do not see a new episode for three weeks. |

However, 24 goes to a brand new night, loses American Idol as a lead in and still the ratings are higher than last year. I think the reason why people complain about Lost and its scheduling is the break in between new episodes once the season starts. I think waiting until January will be a small price to pay to view the show uninterrupted until May. However, as indicated above there's no chance of that happening. |
so we find out on Thurs. if AD is coming back?

ABC has no plans to run Lost consecutively, as has been stated by numerous network execs.
|
now if abc runs alias on a night that is different from lost, will it still have the viewers of this season. (and didn't Garner sign a contract for the show running till at least 2008?)
and if the pregnancy rumors are in tact with garner, will they have to do a shortened season? |

In a word, no. |
