I'm pulling for Jesse cuz I can't stand #1 Daddy. Jesse provides funny commentary plus he's the only one that acts like a jackass cuz he gets drunk all the time. So if nothing else, he provides comic relief.

Anthony "#1 Daddy" Bonsante on the other hand is complete scum to me. As I posted in the thread during his fight with Brent, I can't stand the guy. I wouldn't mind him backing out of the Jimmy Lange fight and fighting Brent if he didn't lie about it so much. He kept talking all this ish about how he was gonna pound Jimmy when he had absolutely no intention of fighting him. He lied to everyone there and he says that he's a role model for his kids. Yeah, lie to get ahead....great role model

Plus blowing dirt in Joey's eye was cheap bullshit. I hope Anthony or whoever just knocks the bastard out cold.
Although I agree with Jesse on everything you said, i think the challenge thing wasn't a big deal. They were both doing things like that. Hell, it was encouraged. No big deal.

But he has been complaining about other people the entire show. They have every right to do what they did. No one broke any rules.

Jesse has a better shot than Anthony.

#1 Daddy KO'd Brent but honestly Brent didn't deserve to be on the show. He was the biggest tomato can of the bunch. Almost any fighter there would've knocked him out.

Anthony fought Manfredo his last fight pre-Contender and got his butt wooped by him so if they fight again, I'm sure that the same thing would happen.

That is an awesome site. You could literally waste hours looking up fighters. On a side note, it is truly depressing seeing the duration of some of the fighters careers. Even though they get out of the limelight or HBO, they continue to fight in crappy places for little purses and continued brain damage.

yeah, thanks for posting that site in one of the earlier Contender threads

It really is sad looking at fighters never give up until it's too late. Most fighters retire with several losses in their last few fights (case in point, Evander Holyfield who still won't retire already).

No problem. It is an excellent site to trump almost anyone in a boxing argument when they do not know what they are talking about. It is by far the most comprehensive boxing site. Also, check it out when you decide not to buy a pay per view because a non homer will give you immediate round by round coverage of fights. It has saved me a lot of money over the years for borderline quality fights.

Another great fight. I thought Joey was gonna lay down like a sucker and it looked that way after the 1st 2 rounds but something woke Joey up.

Interesting to see Jesse in Joey's corner. Jesse's got his tongue planted firmly in Peter's rectum I was surprised he wasn't in his corner. Did anyone notice who was in Peter's corner? Besides his "little league" father..."Don't give him no water!!!!"

I was really rooting for Joey to win the challenge and make Peter and Jesse fight. It seemed that Joey/Anthony was a more fair fight than Joey/Peter anyway. And it would've mirrored Jesse matching Sergio/Ishe.

Jesse makes me sick talking about trying to face a real fighter. No one planned and manipulated more than Jesse did. He plays the cocky, no fear role to the limit, but I think his facade is pretty transparent. He got tough with Ishe when there were plenty of guys around to step between them and make sure no one did anything stupid. Then he ducked him when he could have fought him. No one else feels like he's doing his best to duck Peter? I didn't like Jesse at the start, but for a minute he had me fooled. Now I just see him as a punk.

Jesse did call out Jonathon read though, who was one of the favorites going in, so he faced a real fighter his first fight.

I can't blame him for ducking Manfredo. The goal is too win. At least he didn't lie about it like Anthony did with Joey earlier.

It's not the ducking I blame him for. It's the posing. He has that "Holier than thou" thing going and he's as conniving as the rest of them, that's all I'm saying.

Yah, i used to like Jesse until he punked out on Ishe. Ishe needed a few more seconds, maybe an extra round and Sergio would have been toast.

ANyways, how can anyone not like ALfonso. He's done nothing wrong but get beat up and win. Also, Peter Manfredo seems like a really cool guy. Sergio is Ok, but he seems to a be a little bit too cocky for my liking. #1 Daddy needs to be beat down. Jesse needs to be beat down too.

Finally got around to watching this off the DVR last night with my kids. Obviously our most anticipated show. (hard ta wait til our Wednesday Nites) Sad ta see Joey go, he was our favorite. We are guessing it'll be a Manfredo/Alfonso rematch in the final fight.

Previews made next week look good.. And I am pulling for Bosante. Jesse just lost me with the Ishe thing, and as mentioned above, his "hollier than thou" attitude.

Great stuff! Wish I coulda got tickets!
