Con - Comedy Central

This is the show where some guy goes around conning to get stuff for free. I saw an episode where he got models to clean his house for free by telling them it was part of a photoshoot and another where he eats in a fancy restaurant because he tells the manager its for a Punk'd style tv show.

The entire premise falls apart because the idea is that he's getting all this stuff for free. But in reality, all of the set up he has to do is probaly worth more than what he's conning for. With the models he had a camera, a punch of people pretending to be magazine staff, etc. For the Free dinner he had cameras, fake wigs and makeup, actors, etc. See what I mean? It's like he's spending $500 to get $300 worth of free stuff.

Thinking about "reality tv" will just make your head hurt. It's best to just move on and not justify these stupid shows with our time.

I saw the models one. It was pretty stupid for the reasons you said. He did get a free pizza, but it was by simply outright lying to the pizza place. Maybe he can run a con on Target next week and get a free watch by walking in and taking one off the rack and leaving without paying for it. HAR-DEE-HAR-HAR.

I think he's simply showing HE can do it. Not everyone has make-up, wigs, friends at their disposel.

saw it last night... at the very end of the show during the credits, they say that the actors actually went back and paid for the services/goods that they conned.

And he's so damn SMUG about it. Just totally LAME. Skyler Stone is just a jackass. Why Comedy Central even CONSIDERED greenlighting this is beyond me. They could have made this with home video equipment and had better results b/c without all the obvious background planning and pre-production setups Stone would have gotten BUSTED a few times - which would have been more funny than "hot chicks cleaning our pigsty of a pad".

They should re-run Reno 911 or even (God forbid) Kid Nortorious before showing this crap.

I only watched the first half of the show. He was showing how to get out of a parking ticket by spray-painting over the "No Parking" city sign with white paint, taking a Polariod of it and sending it in with the ticket.

Nice

This show is one giant con and the victim is the viewers who watch it (I'm included also).
I think the entire thing is fake.
Notice on the first episode hanging from the underside of his trunk is a cup for every fast food joint in town so he can get free pop/soda whenever he wants it. Then last night when he opened his trunk the cups and their fancy holding places were gone. So much for that.
It's just the whole too good to be true thing.
If it is real, he's just a major Jack A!
I will probably watch it again, but I'm convinced the show is fake.

Just like Viva La Bam and Wild Boyz. Total fake set ups.
Comedy Central can do better than this sub-par crap.

I would like to see his tape he sent to get the show. Him doing the cons w/o CC budget, that would be entertaining, kinda like CKY/Jackass was before Viva La Bam.

At the end of every episode it says that, "Phone calls and events taken place in this episode have been re-enacted where applicable."

So, essentially there is no way we can believe that this show is true. The show reminds me of "Wanda Does It" where Wanda Sykes pretended to have a reality show, even though it was heavily scripted. Why go through all the trouble of pretending it's real? Either fake a show totally or make a real genuine one.

Caught half an episode before I bailed. I have to agree with everyone so far that said the show was entirely too polished for it's own good. The setup was too elaborate and the payoff not worth the effort. It's kind of ironic that a supposed con-man can't sell the viewers the idea that his show is even real.

To be fair, I think the "reality show" expectation for Wanda Does It was more the marketing then the actual show. The show itself was set up just like a Curb You Enthusiasm type show, but it was promoted like the show was just about her doing different jobs.

The heavily scripted reality show Con takes isn't a new concept either, all the Mark Burnett shows take that approach for example; they're just slightly less transparent about it.

Skyler Stone is a major gaywad

The "cons" on this show are so petty. He acts like he's some big time con man, but he steals freakin' soda from fast food restaurants, wow! God I can't wait until they can this phony gaywad.

I really wouldn't care one way or the other, but you have to watch the stupid commecials for that crappy show 50 million times for every hour you have CC on. Everytime I see him I just hate him more. I really don't understand why that guy irritates me so much but I can't wait until the bottom falls out on this sad, flimsy sack of puke and they cancel it.

I do.

It's because he uses a bunch of petty, childish thefts and ridiculously elaborate scams that require thousands of dollars of equipment, numerous assistants, and hours and hours of planning in order to net a few dollars worth of goods or services, in order to incessantly heap accolades upon himself as though he's solved the mystery of room temperature nuclear fusion.

So I guess the next con is where he pretends to be retarded with the help of his 50 accomplices so he can get some free beer and parasailing rides. Can't wait... this show is hilarious.

I hear the one after that he will set off a tactical nuclear missile in the distance, and while everyone is distracted by the coming apocalypse he will steal an apple from an apple cart and run away screaming, "I'm so *****ing brilliant! I conned a free apple!"
