I don't think so. They had bundled up with clothes so they knew they were last and were hoping it was a non-elim round. The editing didn't show that, probably to not make it apparent how far back they really were. It was edited to look closer to a foot race with the older couple.

I wonder if the show will make a change or two because of the team's clothes bundling up reaction, which can work against the show trying to make it always look close at the end.

I think the shock on their faces was in hearing it was an elimination round.

Based on the previews, no, I don't agree with her. I still have to watch next week to see what was the context of their conversation and the way CBS will edit her comments but right now I think she was out of line. However, I still can't stand him talking about his Iraq experiences all of the time

On this we can agree...and that's coming from a right-wing American nut job!

FOX stayed in front at 9 p.m. with "House," 11.0/17 -- which actually gained audience in its second half-hour, a rarity for the post-"Idol" slot. "The Amazing Race" held steady for CBS, while ABC moved up to third with "According to Jim" and "Rodney," which each drew a 5.3/8. NBC improved ever so slightly with "Scrubs" and "The Office," averaging 3.7/6 for the hour. "One Tree Hill" kept The WB in fifth. "Veronica Mars" scored a 1.8/3 for UPN.

- Couldn't find the actual numbers for the show.

I don't know... other than the STFU comment (which we'll never know for sure given the way it was edited) has he really been that bad? He's gotten on her case a few times, but NOWHERE NEAR as horrible as Jonathan (or even Ray from this season or Colin from TAR5). If anything, her reactions to him is what makes the matter so bad. She seems like the type of person that completely jumps down his throat every mistake he makes, big or small. "Ron, I can't believe you forgot to take the garbage out!!! Oh my God, you're ruining my life!!!!"

Did they finally get married? This was probably filmed months ago, I wonder how fast Amber's hair would've grown back? Still short, but not buzz-cut, I would think.

No, I forgot, do you remember anything else they said, a little recap of the interview please? I would've watched it, just to see if they realize how desperately jealous they came across.

No, they only removed their jackets/sweatshirts, that's all they had on. I was watching them as they wandered around the first castle, then at the pitstop, and they had the same stuff on. I'm guessing they just got hot after sprinting across that rocky area from the cab to the mat, and took off a layer after that.

Oh, and I will TRY to reserve judgement against the Beauty Queen until we see the context of her comment, but she didn't LOOK like they were in the middle of a "heated arguement", and even under stress, why would she say that if she didn't believe it at least a little? That's just pathetic.

As for Lynn and Alex, as someone else already posted:

It was basically the same old Lynn and Alex. They said they were in it to have fun, to meet new people, to travel the world...then giggled like little girls and said that maybe they were in it a little bit for the money.

I think it's Julie Chen (is that her name?) that did the interview...she asked about Rob and Amber. They replied that they got to know everybody and were friendly with everybody, but Rob and Amber never opened up and became friendly. Then Lynn (the fat one?) said that may have been because Amber (he referred to her as "Amberexia") was too busy not eating. I thought it was pretty harsh the way he said it. They did mention that (AND I QUOTE!), "Rob has a nice butt though."

There was also the general we're still together, yadda yadda.

At the end, they were basically bashing Rob and Amber and it seemed the interview came to an aprupt end, as Julie Chen just interrupted them and said thanks, and they cut away. Who knows if they were out of time or just sick of them bashing a CBS "asset."

Either way, no love lost between the two teams apparently, and they came across just the same as they did during the race.

EDIT: Or you could just watch it here... http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/earl...in500202.shtml Link on the right side of the page.

Idiot fruitcakes! What a stupid comment about Amber. They have been plugging ass so long they have no clue what straight men find attractive about women.

I think she's amusing, though.

But, doesn't anyone else here, besides me, think that she sounds like the kid from Problem Child?

"Gretchen and Meredith, I have some good news for you. You are by far the stupidest fucking team ever to make it this far in the Amazing Race".

How the hell are these idiots still around? Has there been one episode where they didn't screw up something? They constantly misread clues. You would think that this would make them more careful, but no, of course not. They have to be the next ones out. I guarantee that the next elimination round will have them eliminated.

I have been rooting for Joyce and Uchenna for a while now, and this episode only reinforced it for me. Great to see how supportive Uchenna was.

Oh, well, if you guarantee it, then I'll take that bet... lol I'll be back here next week to collect.

Unfortunately, I think the mistakes of Joyce and Uchenna will catch up to them, it's a toss-up who makes it into the final three. I'd actually rather they both get in, and Ron and Kelly be eliminated next, because that'd give Rob and Amber a better shot at winning.

I can understand a girl with long hair not willing to shave her head but a guy (no matter the length of his hair) should be willing to shave his head.

After watching last night's episode, I got the feeling that Rob might be less of a racer than the other teams since he always asks the locals for help with directions. Its seems like the locals practically do all the work and Rob and Amber just follow them. Team Romber even brings the locals to the matt where Phil is. I don't think the other teams have used the locals as much as Rob and Amber.

The question is - what do you consider the attributes of a "good racer?" Is it somebody who gets from point A to B the quickest on their own? Or is it somebody who uses anything(body) at their disposal to get to the finish as quickly as possible?

Given the way the old GEYSERS (thank you for that picture of a geyser, JasonF) have lucked out time and time again despite their mistakes, I'd take that bet along with shoppingbear.

So how many episodes are left? When is the finale? There are four teams left, and one non-elimination? Or two non-eliminations, with one being used after the first hour of the finale?

Three episodes left with May 10th being a 2 hour finale. I would assume that next week is non elim, followed by an elimination, and the two hour finale will have a non-elim in the first hour. (Guesses, not spoilers )
