Joan of Arcadia - 4/15

Am I the only one left watching? Well, hopefully not. To those who saw the episode, was that the devil or death that was with Adam in the woods? That was a kinda creepy stare down he had with Park Ranger God.

Well, both times he was on screen the soundtrack played "Sympathy for the Devil."

It's gotta be the devil. Not only because of the Rolling Stones song, but also because he was wearing the red jacket when he saved Adam in the woods. Also, Death usually wears a suit and looks like Brad Pitt.

Yeah, they were kinda subtle about the devil's appearance.

I've given up on watching this, but why did Adam and Joan breakup? My wife asked me and I have no freakin' idea.

Adam cheated on Joan by banging Bonnie a few times, trying to justify it with the usual "Bonnie didn't mean anything to me" line after he got caught.

I was wondering when Satan was going to make an appearance. If God exists, then so must the Devil.
I'm waiting for the sweeps episode with Joan and a bloody crucifix.

This week is already the season finale. Now that they've opened this interesting can of worms, I sure hope it's renewed since it's on the bubble.

From TV Tome about the season finale:
Spoiler:
God tells Joan that her last two years were just practice for her greatest challenge, which will be to face off against a mysterious man who, though he also talks to God, has a sinister agenda...

Initially, Joan is simply curious about Ryan Hunter, the charming, wealthy and influential man who revealed to her that he also speaks to God, and who rescued Adam from the woods during a storm. However, she soon discovers Ryan's dark side and is alarmed that he's insinuated himself into the lives of her loved ones, who are quick to dismiss Joan's qualms about him.

Sounds like a rip-off from
Spoiler:
Tru Calling introducing Jack.

The biggest thing this show has been missing since it started is an overall purpose behind what god is doing with Joan. Now they finally start that at the end of the second season and the damn show is about to get cancelled. I hope it gets renewed and they can actually explore this.
