It's called a jump to conclusions mat. And every week Ryan jumps, to the wrong conclusion. It's in no way predictable.

Now that was a fun episode. Had it all - sex, drugs, and hair band rock & roll. High babe factor. I see that the teacher from life as we know it still has a thing for high school guys.

Another okay episode. I just really dislike the idea of Marissa and Ryan together. It does not work. I don't really like Ryan's brother either, dull and predictable.
The shows seem to be too uneven lately. And they seem to be getting worse. I'll keep watching, but I can't really tell for how long at this point.

It's good that Trey sticks up for Marissa and gets arrested and yet the "Love of her life" Ryan just stands there and watches like a doofus. I remember a time when Ryan would be the one getting arrested and saving Seth from an ass kicking.
Would've been a cooler scene if Ryan and Trey both jumped in to save Seth. Little brotherly tag-team.

If there was anything else that wasn't a repeat last night, I would have passed on The O.C. in HD and watched something else. This show is a pale shadow of its former self nowadays. And I have no idea what they can do to fix it.

You guys hate trey that much? i think it is interesting to have a new chracter make his way into the cohen family. For now anyways, looks like he'll probably be leaving the show pretty soon though. marissa and ryan are a classic!! you knw they are going to get it back together sooner or later it's inevitable. as for the little side story with carter and kirsten? a tad boring....ep 19 was ok but i think it was a little disspointing compared to 18.

Trey looks like he's related to Ashton Kutcher.
Ryan's haircut looked horrible.
Reed was kinda cute, though.
The chick that Sandy set up Billy Campbell's character had the oddest nose, it never had a good angle to photograph from.

Ok episode. I thought the whole Reed story was kind of cheesy (is Seth ever content?) - as is the whole Summer/Seth/Other Dude triangle of whatever. Also what does the other dude do for the comic? If it's just coming up with sales strategies he's definately a coat tail rider (or maybe I'm giving this too much thought).
Trey is essentially Ryan v.season 1 all over again?
So after going bonkers at Sandy for trying to keep his old flame out of jail earlier this season, Kristen is now jonesin for some editorial love? And pretty damn obvious about it too.

Reed is a hottie and would be a good choice to play Lois Lane in the new Superman movie, IMO. A lot better than the train wreck Kate Bosworth is turning out to be (at least according to the pics thus far).

The only problem is that she would be in love with underage Jimmy Olsen rather than Clark/Superman.

Why is it the writers seem to know exactly what the wrong thing to do is, and then they do it.

Im taking a guess it's going to be ryans ex who springs back with taa daa! his baby! although that would be an awful direction to go into. i really wish seth would get a grip, his jeolous ways are getting annoying and dumb, yeh he's cute but that's it!

So maybe we'll end up with a cliffhanger where Ryan's ex comes back, springs a kid on him, and then dies somehow, leaving it up in the air whether or not Ryan will be caring care of it next season.

BTW, was anyone else bothered in this episode when Seth was talking about how great it felt to meet a girl who was hot and dug comic books? Has Anna Stern been wiped from his memory?
