It would be easy to fake a break in to your house and have your gun stolen. If they get them back, they need to dump them far and fast, they can not match their guns if they do not have them.
Didn't Antwon take something out of Shane's wallet and place it in the girl's pocket? I think it was either a business card or an ID? Shane and sidekick would have to get that off the girl's body in order to avoid suspicion completely.

I thought Antwon hinted that he was going to drop the body somewhere so the police would be sure to find it. He has to keep the guns with Shane and sidekick for them to be in trouble, so they should have an opportunity to dump them.

And to echo this sentiment on this forum, what a damn good show this is! There's not a moment of fluff in an episode - even the commericals seem shorter and farther spaced than in most other shows.

Why would he have to keep the gun with Shane? Shane would surely toss it immediately, so there would be no way to match the bullet to the gun. If Antwan kept it (hid it), Shane can't turn on him or hang him out to dry because if he did, Antwan could reveal where the gun is hidden.

Now I'm assuming that Antwan isn't hanging Shane out to dry for the moment.

Someone brought it up earlier ... Vic hasnt had any meaty stuff to deal with yet.

I can bet they're leading somewhere big. Especially since Chiklis is a producer!

Shawn Ryan, the creator, must map out an entire season before shooting even begins.

I still think Cletus (Shane) hasnt really been in true character this year. He's much dirtier than previous seasons ...

When I watched that final scene I thought wow! Shane and Army both got owned by Antwon and he made it absolutely clear that they both work for him and he won't put up with any BS. As for Aceveda what a creep going out of his way to sandbag Monica during that public meeting and as for his relationship with the prostitute I'm certain that will comeback and haunt him later. Dutch's "hungry like the wolf" scene had me rolling Shawn Ryan sure knows how to bring the funny in the middle of a tense cop drama. Last but not least Julien will finally start to stand up for himself and wonder if he doing the right thing with all the seizures. I wonder if Monica continues on this course of action regarding the property seizures and other incidents will the anger and resentment by the black community boil over into a full blown riot? What are your thoughts?

Lots of guns now days are pre-fired at the factory, so they can get a match on which bullets came from which guns.

I'd be surprised if the LAPD didn't keep records on gun markings for their officers, if only to disprove allegations.

I wonder if the guns are their personal pieces aor department issue. Either way it would be easy for Shane and his partner to swap out the barrels.

But Shane isn't that smart.

Pretty good episode

I like the relationship Monica and Vic have. I think they're both going to end up working on getting back at Acevada.

Glad the DA story is done.

The car scene was great.

I don't know what they're going o do with the guns. It's going to be hard to explain if hey do ever find the body since bullets from both their guns are in her.

"Hungry Like the Wolf"

Completely intense, awesome ending.

Anthony Anderson takes it to a whole other level.

Since Vic and Lem are looking for her, I would assume sove evidence tampering would be in effect.

When Vic told Dutch to "attack [the case] like you're hungry...like the wolf!" it didn't hit me for a second until Vic smirked

I don't think monica is gonna take much more of aceveda's shit and may let vic on the loose to maybe bust aceveda in some way.

Now this season is getting good. It was slow at first, probably to set up all the dynamics of the new captain.

I think you are on the money. I'm betting Acevada will continue to come down hard on Monica, who will relay her problems to Vic. Vic will go on the offensive and find out the secret Davy's been hiding, either by coming across the cell phone or tailing him to the hooker's house. A little blackmail and Acevada will be screwed.

Yeah but first he has to get past Antwon and Shane, Antwon won't roll over and play dead for Vic and he isn't stupid either the end of Tar Baby proved that.

As I said in the first episode of the season, Vic's only recourse is going to be killing Shane, or maybe whisking him off to another country. Either way, he can't let Shane be where IAD can find him. And if that means he's six feet underground, than so be it.

Edit: I just realized, if Vic kills Shane, and it turns out Mara is on drugs (as it looked when she last appeared), it might turn to Vic and his wife taking care of the kid.

Agreed, but Shane has always, especially lately, had this arrogant notion that he was untouchable.

No, but it is coming. There is no main "big bad" yet. Though clearly Antwon, he's been very stealthy with his actions so Vic has to wait until he screws up to act. At least we aren't having to deal with the Mackey family as much... THAT was getting a little tedious.

Well, he slowly got dirtier last season as things progressed. I didn't mind him too much before but by the time he beat up Tavon (S3 "Streaks And Tips"), it was pretty clear where he was going to have to head as one lie quickly became many - plus Maura and the baby need all the expensive goodies. Basically, my opinion of him went down right along with Lem's.

Well, I'm beginning to wonder what that is about. It seems to me from the conversation they had in her living room afterward that Aceveda was having issues keeping it up. The violence aspect is even more freaky. The man seriously needs to drop his "pride" and address the rape issue.

holy crap. what an amazing episode! as for the Shane situation, do you remember how they brought back (as a corpse) the guy who got Vic on the strike time (I'm blanking on his name right now)? I could see Vic doing the same thing with Shane... letting him live, but making it clear that he is a dead man if he sets foot in L.A. again... god, what a great show...

someone mentioned they are shooting in HD now... is there an HD FX channel?

I think they maybe shooting the episodes in widescreen, (as seen in the previews) ..but if they started with this season, I would think the first episode of the season would be widescreen, and they wouldn't switch halfway into the season ..

there's no HD FX channel BobDole42...

oh and ..for those of you who don't have dvr's ..or look at the webpage (dunno if they even put them on the webpage)...here's the summary of the next two episodes.

Spoiler:

4/26 Hurt: Chief Phillips unexpectedly pulls Vic and Monica off a case and gives it to the Organized Crime Unit
