The Simpson's "The Seven-Beer Snitch" 4/3/05

Two days later and still no Simpson's thread.

There is an American Idol thread, but no Simpson's thread...how fucking pathetic is that??!!!

Sorry, just had to vent.

A fucking American Idol thread!!!

Again, sorry.

Great episode, BTW.

Snowball II as a fat cat and Homer as a prison rat.

yeah sort of.. still, the line from chief wiggum about "give that can the full CSI treatment" and the show kicked into full CSI camera mode, ending with the camera shot that looked like we were in the can look up and out at wiggum was pretty funny..

I thought the jokes in this episode were unusually spot-on, but the B-plot was horrendously tacked on and not really even finished by the end of the show.

Burns' remark to Smithers about Abu Ghraib had me laughing my ass off...

I liked the start of the show with the Shelbyville musical and them making fun of Springfield (hoot!) but after that... meh

Certainly seemed like two completely seperate episodes between the Arts Center and the prison. I know that's something they've been doing for years, but I can't help but think this one would've been better if they had just stuck to "Burns runs a prison".

Not as good as the previous episode, but still on par with a surprisingly good season.

Didn't Snowball II die last season? I thought Lisa went through a series of many pets dying. Oh wait "I, (Annoyed Grunt)-Bot" from last season conveniently ends with Lisa pretending the whole thing never happened.

I'm looking for a sound clip of Burns saying: "get this coked-up man balloon out of my sight." That really cracked me up.

I liked Homer's Adabissi hat (Oz reference).

And yes, these are dark times when reality shows are getting more attention here than Simpsons.

American Idol was #2 and #3 for the week last week. Simpsons finished #11 for Sunday. Whether you like it or night, Simpsons is hardly a powerhouse anymore.

Besides, the #1 show on TV (CSI) tends to get even less attention.

I'm not talking about ratings, I'm talking about these boards - from Buffy to Arrested Dev., the most discussed shows here are hardly ratings powerhouses - otherwise, we'd have a bunch of threads on CSI and Law&Order.

I liked this ep. The prison stuff was almost secondary for me, since the "fat housecat" story hit close to home. I cracked up when they tried to get Snowball to play with string, and she just batted at it once and gave up. I swear my cat has done the exact same thing. Also, Lisa walking away from the other house and Snowball riding through the background on a tricycle had me as well.
