Oh man, I was cracking up hard at the brothers' clothing gambit.
I was surprised at how close the top 5 teams were in departure time (about 47 minutes between the first and fifth team). Too bad they didn't show the viewers if Ron did let loose with the F-bombs, instead of leaving it for the viewers to take Kelly's word. If you couldn't see the video of the milking, and just listened to the comments from the teams, the utterances would have taken on a different flavor, for sure. :) Uchenna and Joyce look to be having the time of their lives. Team on Fire made some snarky remarks along the way. I was sort of glad to see the automotive trouble they were having during this leg of the race. |
An Open Letter to "Amazing Racers"
Dear once and future racers -- I have been watching this, my favourite show, since its first episode. While I generally enjoy this series, I feel compelled to comment. For the record: I don't care. I really don't. Pray. Plead. Change the Bible so it reads your name. I DON'T CARE. Seriously. You think I don't have other things to worry about? Wars, pestilence, famine, evangelists. And now I have to pick a pope. I really don't care how you do in the Race, so please, for the love of Me, leave Me out of it. 'Kay? Good. Yours eternally, God |
It was pretty damn funny how those two could do the balance thing, yet no one else could.
|
Fun scenery with the animals, that has to be amazing, the bro's were just too stupid, they've made a lot of silly errros.
I do agree that there were not many ways to catch up in this ep, but I sure thought there was enough time to catch up. |

I really liked this episode, for exactly the reasons others here have called it 'boring'. It reminded me of old school TAR, without all the constant bunching that negates leads and wipes the slate clean every time. Sure it sucks that a cool team got eliminated, but that's the game. They were only back from Meredith and Gretchen by about a half hour. Given the fact that the gay dudes broke two vehicles and two other teams had to backtrack due to screwups in the roadblock, they had a potential chance to avoid elimination. But they made their own mistake at that water tower. Too bad. |

Unless the editing was REALLY deceiving, the "chill" line was what Kelly misheard as "shut the f*** up". I even rewound it to make sure. I suppose the way he said it could have been misheard, but I think it says alot about her attitude and paranoia that she heard THAT.

Is it just me, or does Alex sound exactly like Mr Slave? anyone notice kellys boobs today. they were pretty bouncy and looked nice. |
You'd think TAR catches that sort of stuff (STFU), so why not just air it with the bleep in the middle, and then show us Kelly's blowup at Ron. The way they did it, it makes it seem like Kelly might have been hearing things, making Ron seem like a horrible guy for denying it as well.

Personally, I think it's hillarious that he has no clue whatsoever that she can't stand him anymore. With keen powers of observation like that, it's no wonder he got captured by the enemy. |
Agreed it wasn't a very exciting episode, but all the wildlife made up for it. Pretty rare not to have an airport scene as well.
Ah, the look on Phil's face when the brothers came up to the mat. |
The wildlife was fantastic; the episode was not.
I think that this is the worst group of racers that has ever been assembled on one season. It seems like every week, multiple teams make mistakes that are easily avoidable. How the hell are Gretchen and Meredith still there? When is the last time they got through a show error free? In previous seasons, it would have costed them by now, but every episode so far, another team has seem to have made a bigger mistake. I am disappointed that the brothers are gone. I am rooting for Uchenna and Joyce now, followed by Rob and Amber. |

I agree with movieking. It's like they purposely gave Rob and Amber very little competition so they would go far. They knew Rob would be a lightning rod and people would tune it for him alone. I want to see a season when every team is on Rob and Amber's level. Maybe have an Allstar season.

I'm glad the brothers are done. Never been a fan of the male-male teams, and I thought they got a break last week when they flipped that car and got a replacement when the rules have always been you only get a replacement when it isn't your fault.
Probably the most scenic leg I have ever seen in TAR. That had to be fun to drive through that area. at U&J for being able to do that balance walk. Oh the irony. to Romber for continuing to kick ass. |
How many non-elimination legs are left? Last season there were three total, and we've only seen one this season.
To be fair to Lynn (regarding his comment about U&J), Uchenna made pretty much the exact same comment himself. |

Just as I thought, the teams should have been assessed a time penalty of some sort. Although it appears this time because of the close proximity they decided to make them go back instead. Because if I was there and you told me I would be assessed a 30 minute penalty I would have probably said I'll be right back becasue they "probably"(my speculation) beat that time. |
As far as the penalties go, there should never be a time penalty. The team should ALWAYS have to go back and do the task correctly. If, like last nite, it isn't very far, then so be it. They should have the chance to remedy their mistake. However, if going back and doing it is impossible because the screwup was in another country or something like that, then they are just eliminated. Mis-reading clues needs to have the possibility of stiff penalties.

I would like to know how much time difference there was between Team Old and Team Brothers arriving at the pitstop.

All of the teams in this season has been guilty of either getting lost or not being able to read a map properly. Pathetic. |
