My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss Episodes Online

OK- I know this info has been posted before, but I just checked the site, and thought it was interesting that the season finale is going to be "available April 1st." So far 4 of the 5 remaining episodes are online....

I really hope they don't plan on pulling a bullshit April Fools' Day joke.

I've really hated FOX for how they treat some of their shows, but I must say I think it is so cool of FOX to do this... even though they had to cancel the show, they still show appreciation to the fans by putting the episodes online for free More networks should follow suit to please their "customers."

I think the April 1st airdate is more likely just good timing since the whole show is like one big April Fool's joke (unfortunately I was already spoiled as to whom the real boss is )

Could you tell us who the boss actually is in spoiler tags? I'd like to know without watching the rest of the shows.

You can just watch the last one April 1st and skip the rest. He isn't revealed until then.

I never watched a single episode of the show, but remembered reading in some press releases last year about how the boss was going to be someone big or something along those lines.

Jesus, what the fuck? I guess it's of comparable quality to the rest of the reality dreck on Fox, so it shouldn't be surprising they'd do something that shitty. Still, damn, I feel for anyone that wasted their time sitting through that crap to get that payoff.

Why would you say it was a waste of time if you never even watched it? It really didn't matter who the "boss" was, it wasn't like the whole show revolved around that mystery. I thought it was a quite fun and enjoyable series.

I have to admit, I don't think I've ever bashed a show I didn't even watch before... But that reveal... I think my one weakness in refraining from comment was well-used.

That said, I think it was a waste of time for people like myself, that read the press release and were expecting there to be an unveil of a significant personality. One that might actually end up causing a serious change to the outcome of the finale. And unlike myself, actually ended up watching it for that reason. I probably would have if not for Desperate Housewives, whatever was on HBO at the time and Law and Order: CI.

The press release I'm talking about is this this . I can't be the only one, and the reason I even read this thread was because I was curious who it turned out to be. I remember reading when the release came out discussion on what might happen once a serious well-known business personality came aboard, so I have to imagine that it hooked some people.

Since I didn't watch the show and was basing the information on the press release I mentioned, I was expecting that a significant part of the show would revolve around the big reveal. Since it didn't, I guess that's a redeeming point of sorts.

After having watched the finale though, I'm sorry, but having the boss being
Spoiler:
a monkey
is just childish. It didn't strike me as being humorous in the least, but hey, I guess if it gets people to watch it like I did, it did it's job for Fox.

If memory serves me

we had basically figured out the identity of the boss after the 1st episode ... or at least had narrowed it down to three possibilities

Spoiler:
A Monkey, A Chicken or an Infant

The finale/reveal was lame compared to Joe Schmo and the surprise ... well it wasn't.

The Series had a few good laughs but overall I'd vote thumbs down on the Show. Am I sorry I watched every episode? Yes.

I have to agree. The first Joe Schmo was the only series of this sort that really had a great ending. The rest have all been pretty anti-climactic. But at least none were nearly as bad as the final moments of "The Real Gilligan's Island."

from that press release, "In an eye-opening, jaw-dropping turn, the identity of the real boss will be the biggest surprise of all."

that doesnt really give me the impression that it someone important or even famous, just a surprise.
i hated who the boss turned out to be, but liked the show otherwise.

I watched the final episodes, and here are my thoughts on the series and Fox:

* While I was disappointed that Fox pulled the show with only 4 episodes left(Yes- I liked it), I was grateful that they aired the final episodes online for free (NBC certainly didn't do that with their Last Comic Standing finale).
* I kind of figured the "boss" would be
Spoiler:
a monkey,
only because
Spoiler:
how else the outcome be completely objective free? If a person were to choose who stays based on a choice of 2 or 3 people, the choice would be based mostly on personality or looks. In my opinion, the monkey (or some other animal) was the only way to have a truly random winner)
