The whole Mc_______ thing used to be funny but is now extremely annoying.

I blame Cristina, since she's the one who's the worst offender.

The only thing worse is the use of "Frak" from Battlestar viewers. That was annoying after about a week.

That's even more annoying when you consider Scrubs was using "Frick" before that. Just seemed like a lame rip of that.

Unless Scrubs was using Frick in the 70s before the first Battlestar it's not taken from that.

something that is far more annoying to me is how repetitive the scripting is. I realize this is intentional and just part of the shows schtick, but it has driven me crazy ever since another formum member mentioned a few weeks ago. The character will state something that apparently the script writers think is profound in about 4 different ways. It really gets on my nerves.

Grey's Anatomy is following the same exact trend albeit a bit quicker. The first season and all but the final episodes of season two were excellent drama. Some of the best on TV. They had great patients and the "doctor" part of the show was amazing, and it had light soap moments to get you to care about the characters. Starting with the final 3 episodes of last season it is hard to even tell this is a show about doctors anymore. To put it plainly, it went to hell in a handbasket fast.

All that aside, it is obviously working for them as evidenced by the ratings and viewership, but they lost me starting with Heigl's horrid 'crying' outburst performance over Denny last season. Showed me what a terrible actress she is. It has been on a steady decline ever since. With Scrubs making a return to tv opposite of Grey's, I happily gave it the boot. It was not a hard decision to make. Like ER I used to look forward to watching it every week and that is obviously not the case anymore.

I know I'm in the minority on this one.
You summed up my feelings to a tee - especially on that Heigl chick. I couldn't believe people were actually praising her for that crap.

I gave up on the show after a handful of episodes this season. The writing since the "Denny debacle" has been a joke; too hokey and absurd for its own good. They should move this show to that MYNetwork station - it would feel at home there.

The chick standing outside of the hospital all day because it was too emotional to go in, dumped the show for me.

I stand corrected. It's been about 25 years since I've seen any of those.

Quoted for truth! She seriously has a face like a bucket of smashed assholes!

Something about her face reminds me of the Carver from Nip/Tuck..

Burke and Christina playing the say uncle game got old.

Finally, the check has been cashed, although not without historionics by Izzie.

Shoehorning George's dad subplot in contrast with Meredith's estrangement of Thatcher didn't quite work for me.

Karev almost closes the deal with Addison, but then she regained her senses.

McDreamy's snore avoidance tactics finally surface, and Meredith wasn't too pleased.

I thought the scenes with Callie were good. Her staring down Shepherd and then George, then them celebrating over the pee.

I really don't want a Karev/Addison relationship, at this point having them get together is pretty much becasue they're the only characters not screwing right now.

I had to groan at Karev and Addison attempting the hook up, although Addison did look good this episode.

Finally the check got cashed. Let it go Izzy. I'm assuming that in the 2nd part, Izzy's going to use some of the money to pay for Ann's surgery? She can help alot of people based on the interest alone.

Mine didn't record last night. Instead it is recording tonight. Is this always going to be repeated on Fridays? I hope so because I need Supernatural and Scrubs/30 Rock which are both on at the same time!
