I watched this turdburger last night -- man, this was much worse than I expected! Bruce Campbell and that hot forest girl who couldn't act kept me watching to the end, but throughout I constantly imagined the MST3K crew popping in and riffing this dreadful mess.

Why Bruce signed up for such a lame production is a mystery. He doesn't want to risk Burt-Reynolds-ing his career and then losing his devoted fans.

Wasn't it? :hscratch:

From thefutoncritic.com

The March 26 premiere of 'Alien Apocalypse,' starring Bruce Campbell, was the highest-rated of any of SCI FI's Saturday originals to date - delivering an incredible 2.3 HH rating and 2.7 million viewers P2+.

That's right in line with each of the Sci-Friday shows. How long before Alien Apocalypse 2?

Farscape, a co-production by the Jim Henson Company in the U.S., Hallmark Entertainment in the U.S. and Nine Films and Television, part of Nine Network in Australia, began shooting in Sydney on 25th September 1998. The series was created by Rockne S O'Bannon and was originally earmarked for the US Fox Network but was ultimately green-lit by the Sci-Fi Channel.

While it did originally air on Sci-fi, I do not - and most others - do not consider this a Sci-Fi original.

I see...I figured if they paid for the original production that it was their original show. They sure advertised it as such, IIRC.

Anyway, lesson learned.

I also though Farscape was a Sci-Fi channel original. Go figure.

Of course it was horrible, but I'm another that loved every minute. Campbell looked like he was having fun with it. Plus the cavegirl was pretty good looking.

Apology Accepted. anyways.

Sadly Scifi channel puts original on
everything of late. My biggest gripe
is their funding for so much bad scifi.
And even more concerning is their
ability to continue in making money
while doing this.

They are taking advantage of the
lack of any scifi on tv at the moment.
By airing just cheap horrid crap.
I am not surprised by the ratings.
There is nothing else out there to
compete against them.

this one was real bad and yet I watched it. Acting was real bad, i've seen better acting in a Andy Sidaris movie.
