More important than a good performance, Mikalah needs to keep her big mouth shut or she'll be gone this week. The audience is totally annoyed with her, evident by her poor showing last week.
Any info on the genre this week?

My wife can't figure out why she's my favorite because her voice is a cross between Barbra Streisand and Fran Dresher.

I know many people love Bo and think he is very original but I don't think he is that great. I think he is good but I don't like all the hype and pimping by TPTB. I am ready for the Bo backlash
I stand corrected. Bo did not sing last and but he did bore me with his song and the Simon comparing his hair to Paula's was funny!
I really liked most of the performances, partly because I liked most of the songs (well it's good to have a choice of #1 songs).
Anthony - I thought he started ok, hit a few notes off but finished well. I think he is a nice kid with a nice voice and I don't understand Simon's distain for him. I see him at least in the final 4. I like the power ballads he does but the judges apparently likes his more upbeat performances.
Carrie- Never thought she was that strong vocally but she blew me away with Alone. I really enjoyed the song. Very controlled and strong. I have a feeling that Simon, et al had a peek at the vote tallies/breakdowns and she may be the top vote getter.
Scott - I really like this song. I thought he sang well. Came off nice during the intro.
Constantine - I didn't like his rendition of the song. Too much dancing around that I think if he stopped and sang, it would be BLAH. Donny Osmond has nothing to fear from him.
Vonzell: Good singer. Good song. Don't remember much else though.
Nadia: I like her attitude. Definitely not as mechanical or staged as I thought previously. I like the funky mohawk. I enjoyed the performance even though I thought she sounded a bit winded and garbled a few words. I thought she was good tonight.
Bo . ehh . don't get the love. I thought it was ok and bland. I won't be sad to see him leave.
Nikko - I don't like the way he runs the notes. I think it is vibrato but it sounds like he is warbling many of his notes.
Anwar - started off soft. I couldn't hear him over the instruments. Danced around to the song and finished strong. Still, it was meh for me. He reminds me of a 70s disco singer.
Mikalah - I thought she was alright though it was a very similar to the original rendition. She was ok tonight but I think she is definitely the bottom 2-3 again and will be the most likely candidate to go home.
Jessica - I really liked her song. I thought she sang well. She did the squatting thing which was distracting as was her strong resemblence to Kelly Clarkson.
I think whenever the results show will air, Mikalah, Anwar/Scott and Nikko will
be in the last three with Mikalah getting the boot.

On the genre, I'm interested to see if they keep catering to Bo. So far he hasn't had to sing anything but these comfortable rock tunes he sings all the time with his band he loves to talk so much about (actually he loves talking about HIMSELF more than his band). If they keep this "decade" crap going, you will know who they want to win. I'm waiting for "Boy George" week. Then we'll see what Bo's got going on.
EDIT: The theme is "#1 Billboard Hits". Well, it looks like they continue to choose themes Bo can find something to his style. Look for them to keep on pimping him.

Well, it looks like the show won't be live. Apparently it wasn't live last week either. From someone on another board who attended:
Warning: Do not read if you don't want to know the particulars about tonight's show!!

Strong group so far. This is a good year, good group.
Edit:
I wish Bo had rocked a bit harder, but good performance.
Edit 2:
Nikko...good.
Vonzell...good...good.
Entertaining night.

Everyone is bringing it tonight, and Simon was right about Scott, thankfully that song didn't go on any longer...
But I think it's because the contestants are singing good solid songs (you don't hit #1 with a mediocre song), so that helps alot.

Constantine...not crazy about the song, but good performance.
Edit:
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a candidate for the worst performance of the night.
Hair-do too. Give Nadia a hand.

Strange connection I made with Constantine: his interpretation of "I Think I Love You" sounded to me as sung by Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar....

This was Constantine's chance to play something like Bon Jovi's Living on a Prayer, Bad Medicine, Blaze of Glory, I'll be There for You, or You Give Love a Bad Name --all of which were Billboard #1 singles -- and he blew it!
