Did anyone see the commercial for Locusts, coming to the CBS Sunday Night Movie on April 24? Looks like more comedy gold.

The radio station giving the weather report implied, at least, that it was near Ft. Lauderdale and Miami.

this and Discovery Channel's April 10th Super Volcano looks like a great month for natural disaster and mass chaos.

no.

I think comedy gold would be for CBS to show another shark movie.

I want to see Danielle defy her dad again and go down to Florida in December to visit Charlie, for Winter Break Shark Attack.

maybe, instead of finding a bunch of sea turtles with huge bites taken out, there could be other sharks. Because this time, the sharks are so big and so bad that even the other sharks get eaten. In Spring Break Shark attack, when the shark ate JT, you could have a subplot in the sequel where the shark also ate the roofies in JT's pocket, so now that shark has a chemical addiction to the roofies.

And since its winter, there should be snowcapped mountains in the background. and there's a blizzard, too.

I watched this until 10, then decided to flip over to Boston Legal.

I can't believe how many of you stuck with this. But yeah, it was in HD. And the shark attacks I did see were worth it.

"...with big, sharp, pointy teeth!"

Giles 03-21-05 01:16 PM

"run away!"

devilshalo 03-21-05 01:56 PM

I missed this because I had my baseball draft going on. :(

I usually watch anything with SHARK in the title. :o

Amel 03-21-05 04:44 PM

DAMN! I can't believe I forgot about this. Hopefully there will be a re-run soon. Looks like I missed a great one.

DeadLamb 03-21-05 05:31 PM

even better then the shark attacks? One of the ads that ran RIGHT after the part where a boat was sinking, was a tampon ad where they are in a boat that is sinking.. Sep she plug the hole in bottom of the boat with a stay fresh tampon or whatever brand it was.....

So come back the show and yeah I'm sort of thinking "Use a tampon to fix that boat!" heh

as for the moutains.. Heck they built that reef, for you all you know they built a moutain range too!!! :)

I was hoping they were gonna have more of teh girls gone wild theme with the dumb ass and his camera.

MrR0boto 03-21-05 08:29 PM

I had several problems with scenes involving said "dumbass with camera".

1) When he popped out the pill into the girl's drink, it was already in powder form. C'mon, that was fake and really took me out of the movie.

2) His beer bong had a tube that was about 5 feet long. Give me a break.

3) Just before he was pulled under by the shark, he took a HUGE breath. That's just bad acting.

How can one person singlehandedly ruin an otherwise kick ass movie?

the whole movie was pure cheese. Were you expecting Academy Award caliber acting? They casted that guy cuz he looked like a typical dumb jock that would be on Spring Break.

Damn, I thought calling this a kick ass movie would relieve me of having to include a wink.

This is for you Dabaomb: ;) ;)

And, yes, I was expecting academy award acting from a movie called Spring Break Shark Attack. Another thing - I think the dude was casted for his huge nose, nothing more. (;))

CPA-ESQ. 03-22-05 08:07 AM

Does anyone know if this will be replayed?

My Cablevision DVR cut off the last 1/2 hour :(

I was loving it.

I missed the last half for the same reason. Mined cut off just when she tells her brother that he was right. :(

pilot 03-22-05 07:48 PM

mine got cut off 30 mins as well ... :( .. ah well...i'll pop in Jaws next time ;)

kevin75 03-27-05 06:39 PM

i just got done with this and it was nowhere near as bad as i expected. i was having towering inferno flashbacks when JT was on the dock thing with the girl on his back and he was screaming get off!! overall, though not too bad. and the bikinis...:eyebrow:

kramdenfan 03-28-05 08:05 AM

Unfortunately, I missed this one as well. I tivo'd it, but because of basketball running late, which I didn't know about until we tried to watch it, the end was cut off. When we saw that, we just deleted it. I didn't see the point in watching a cheesy movie if you can't see the cheesy ending. :(

RoyalTea 03-01-06 06:49 AM

I can't believe this will be out on DVD soon.

GrouchoFan 03-01-06 06:40 PM

THANK YOU for bringing the DVD release to my attention!! I was just thinking about burning my tape of this to a DVD-R, now I won't have to! This is one my guiltiest pleasures of the last 10 years or so. They should include a commentary from late-night host Craig Ferguson, who seemed obsessed with this movie for a while.

Bring on Lucy Lawless in Locusts and Vampire Bats, too!
