Me and my wife really liked it. We just watched the final episode. NBC needs to bring it back. Not too many sitcoms anymore. And the quirky charecters were great.

I sorta liked Todd in the first episode. after the finale 2-parter, he can be left on the curb.

Can someone recap tonight's episode? My DVR taped over it when I taped Project Greenlight. Thanks in advance.

I really like this show. The character's relationships are quirky and kinda of endearing. Honestly one of the best sitcoms on TV now. Of course that isn't say much at this point in time.

NBC needs to bring it back. Much better than Will and Grace.

Even a little bit of Todd had me cracking up in this episode. I hope they bring this show back next season.

The supporting characters are much better then Marni or Nate.

I had to laugh at the Clown posing in new robe when Nate came over

I really think Todd is one of the better characters on the show. He's so evil and sneaky but being in the wheel chair I can't help but feel sorry for him.

I still am not 100% on the premise, he was institutionalized, or was she or all of them?

Why does NBC do this one (and Joey) in HD, but their best comedy ever (Scrubs) get the HD snub?

That would be the song "Follow Through" by Gavin DeGraw.

Okay, I'll oblige you:

Nate wakes up in Natalie's bed and calls Bowie who helps him get out of the house.

He then runs straight over to Marni's and tells her honestly the stuff he remembers... having drinks with Todd and then waking up at Natalie's. He swears nothing happened between them, but then leaves and heads over to Natalie's to apologize.

As Nate walks through the door of Natalie's apartment, she says that nothing happened since he was still really drunk after Todd dropped him off. He realizes that Todd is the bad guy here and then Natalie plants one on Nate's lips. He pushes her away and then takes off to Marni's.

When he gets to Marni's, he explains that nothing really happened, and they go back and forth about "was that all" and he said, well that and how Natalie kissed him. Then Marni gets in a huff and says that before he can kiss her again, she needs to even it out and kiss another man.

A bit of chasing ensues, and they end up in the lobby then out on the street, with Marni trying to get kissed by the next guy she sees... which just happens to be Todd, who's coming in the door.

So before anything happens, Nate goes ballistic and gives Marni the "you're too crazy to date" speech and walks out.

We then see Marni crying in her apartment and Clown helps her realize that Nate is "The One" and she runs to Lost Tracks and tells Nate that they aren't breaking up.

Nate never had any intentions of breaking up, he just said that she was too crazy to date... and happily ever after... well, actually Nate tries to get out her if she kissed Todd or not, but she never says.

Oh... and throw something in there about Bowie's fluid, Tess being propositioned by an 11-year-old and getting the phone number of a perverted bus driver and Clown with a new robe and you round out the episode... oh and a marathon gone awry.

If the show ended right now, I'd be happy. It was a nice little story about 4 friends and a dying clown.

I would love to see it come back next season... sans Todd.

Goldberg, thanks for the recap. Sure hope this comes back next year, and the first season goes to DVD.

Not sure if this has been posted but Jennifer Finnigan, she plays Marni, is working on a pilot for CBS so it looks like this won't be back

The CBS pilot is a back up plan for her if Committed doesn't get picked up.

AMERICAN CRIME (CBS) - Jennifer Finnigan ("Committed") has been cast in the lead role of the drama pilot, about a female prosecutor who juggles the world of suburban crime with the challenges of being a new mom. She'll play Annabeth, said prosecutor, in the project, which also stars John Carroll Lynch. Finnigan's involvement is apparently in second position to "Committed" should that series return for a second season. Simon West is directing the Warner Bros. Television/Bruckheimer Television-based project, from a script by creator Jim Leonard. Leonard then also serves as an executive producer along with Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman.

Has anybody heard if Committed is definite for next season?

I was able to d/l HD copies of the show, so if all else fails, I'll burn them to DVD and have my own little Committed S1 set.

I generally HATE broadcast TV, and I really love this show. Not renewing it for another season will just hammer another nail in the coffin of network television, IMHO.

Dying clown, man. DYING CLOWN!! And Todd! And Bowie singing that song about how much he LOVED his mother. And Tess the nanny from hell! And Nate's apartment! And Marni's birthday!

F**k NBC, f**k them up their stupid a**es!! This show could be the next Seinfeld, and I'm sure it'll be replaced by more CRAPPY REALITY SHOWS!! Or another frigging CSI ripoff!

Wait.. I don't get it. You do realize that the less folks watch it when it's on or TiVo it, the less likely it will be renewed. Atleast another network besides Fox is getting cursed at for reality tv shows..

Furthermore, it is quirky but in a very endearing kind of way. It isn't strange or on the edge just to be that way. It doesn't feel forced, it really fits in with the character. I honestly thought this show would be crap judging from the previews but I was pleasantly surprised.
