Numb3rs 3/11/05

OMG, I was almost bowled over after seeing Sarah Wayne Callies's name in the guest credits because she was "Jane" in the WB's "Tarzan" show last year. And it turns out she was Don's SO while he was in Albuquerque. Anyhow, interesting episode so far about counterfeiting money by using artists to produce the artwork for the printing plates.

Pretty good episode. I'm still liking the show overall but they seem to be taking away a lot of the math guy's eccentricities. Now he just seems like a regular guy that's good at math. Oh well.

I am really loving this show. It is nice to see them fleshing out Don's character a little more each week. So evidently, he was engaged so the Secret Service gal, but someone broke off the engagement. Was the reason he left to come home to be with his dying mother?

No new episode until April.

We were led to believe Don left Albuquerque because of his mother's illness, plus Charlie was in another world during this time, and Don was needed at home as his father probably couldn't deal with both his wife and his nutty son, Charlie at the same time. Don did give up a lot to move back, and Don probably had some residual resentment of Charlie taking him away from a good situation in Albuquerque because he wasn't able to function well enough during their mother's illness.

Hiatus because of basketball. This show is about as far as getting cancelled as it can be. Highest rated show on Fridays by far.

According to my Tivo, the next new episode is 4/1. Can't wait.
