Probably true. I loved Contact, and would definitely watch a show with a similar premise, but I don't think Sci-Fi on a major network has a snowball's chance in hell. |

Sounds like a horrific waste of three good actors. |

He worked with Braga when he was a writer, and actually had some good executive producers and other writing staff to filter his ideas. Braga actually wrote some pretty decent TNG episodes in the day.

Though the last day of principal shooting on Star Trek: Enterprise concluded yesterday, the fan campaign to save the series is reporting that the sets will not be torn down immediately. TrekUnited, which has rallied fans to raise over $30 million to keep Enterprise on the air including a $3 million pledge from aerospace professionals, reports that the sets are now on "hold and fold" status, meaning that they will not be destroyed. An unofficial source told the Trek Nation that while the soundstages upon which Enterprise films will be used to film movies during the spring, Paramount will keep the sets intact while considering the future of the franchise. TrekUnited added on its web site that all of the show's actors and key members of the creative team remain under contract to Paramount at present. Although UPN spokespersons and the current Star Trek producers have insisted in interviews that Enterprise's cancellation is irrevocable, a Spike TV representative has said that that Viacom-owned cable network would be interested in airing a fifth season of the series if Paramount were to make the show available. No official information has been released from Paramount indicating that there are any plans to shop the series to venues other than UPN or to consider additional episodes of the series. I'm sure it won't happen, but I have to wonder if we'll have a similiar situation to Babylon 5 and the finale discussed in this thread is held-over until the series does actually end? |
Cast for the last episode is up on Startrek.com, look who's there:
Guest Cast: Jonathan Frakes as Will Riker Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi Jeffrey Combs as Shran |
Okay, this isn't from the finale, but you gotta love Blalock in a TOS uniform:

After an eventful final day of shooting on Tuesday, the sets are being struck, departments are finalizing their affairs, and the actors are clearing out their trailers as photography on Star Trek: Enterprise has wrapped for the final time. The series finale is called "These Are the Voyages ..." and it's probably no secret by now that Spoiler:
Holy shit, it's true! |
As much as I dislike time travel as a plot device, I think it actually would hav been better here than what they decided to do.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, TNG actor Brent Spiner ('Data') has signed to star in THRESHOLD, the upcoming CBS science-fiction series produced by former STAR TREK producer Brannon Braga. It is his first regular role in a television series since STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION ended its run in May 1994. The new series focuses on a team of scientists and military personnel who make contact with alien lifeforms. Spiner join actors Carla Gugino and Charles S. Dutton in the cast. |
ANd I don't actually mind the holodeck thing. It wasn't a dream or anything, it was us watching a show that was a show. That isn't awful.

Yeah, I would. :( But not Voyager. I have standards. |
Here's what the finale is actually about:
Spoiler:
I'm really looking forward to this episode. The episode right before this really feels like it will end Enterprise. This last episode almost feels more like an ending for all of Star Trek, kinda a reflection looking back at the two series' that bookended modern Trek (1987-2005). |
I watched the first few episodes of Enterprise and lost interest quickly, much like what happened when Voyager premiered. What gets me the most was the way it seemed to totally trash the continuity. The technology seemed to have taken a HUGE step back between the Enterprise timeframe & TOS timeframe.
I was hoping this massive continuity glitch would have been addressed in the finale: There is some huge cataclysmic crisis/war that caused starfleet to revert to a more archaic technology (much like the ships on the new Battlestar Galactica use "older" technology due to the fact the cylons could hack into their "modern" tech). |
so when is this galactic turd set to air?

I just wonder if B&B are going to forget to tell us who Future Guy is? Maybe most people don't care, or have forgotten, but when you drive a series for nearly 4 seasons based on a Temporal Cold War with Future Guy behind it: you better tell us who he is. |
...being reworked...

Yeah, but how do Riker and Troi fit into that? |
It's official:
