We are witnessing the most drug out competition in the history of television. This series may take more weeks to resolve a winner than the current "takes-so-long-I-don't-care-anymore" title holder Major League Baseball.

re: belly flop contest:
The only girl in the entire competition was Tonya and we didn't think she'd be any competition for the boys. Boy were we wrong. If they had a competition for belly flops in the Inferno 2 nobody and I mean nobody would've beat Tonya. That girl is nuts. Now what you didn't see was there was 3 rounds and every round Tonya killed all the guys. Mine absolutely sucked so I Mizzed out and kept going one right after another. I must of done about 10 in a row. It hurt like a bitch and burned but hey it's all in good fun. Oh yeah another thing was before you went you had to shot gun a beer in under 10 seconds or else you're DQ'd. Great rule, right. Tonya killed us all.
same episode:
Dave came in and the choosing began. I couldn't believe they picked Landon. I could've swore I was getting nominated for the 4th time. I was ready to put another notch in my eye brow. If you notice I have 3 notches in my eye brow. One for every time I got nominated.

Maybe Tonya. The other three I wouldn't touch with Kim Il Jung's junk.

I've been tivoing the show, so I wait until I have the show with the initial competition, then the inferno show. Then i watch them back to back. i have a lot of shows to watch, so it's not like i have to watch it when it initially airs. i find it's better this way, so you can watch it all the way through.

That's not a bad idea. I mean, with fast forwarding past all of the 5 and 6 minute long commercial breaks, and the minute of rehashing at the beginning of each episode and out of every commercial break, the two back-to-back episodes probably have a run time of a standard 30 minute show. I cannot fathom how anyone could stand to watch this live with only 10 minutes of new material in 30 minutes run time.

Exactly, Bill. The rehashing is pretty bad. "The Surreal Life" is another show that does the same thing (even worse, IMO).

and even though I like survivor, the first 6-7 minutes of that show is rehashing, then the opening "credit" motage. so i just fast forward through all that, too.

Dude, I know you've seen her Playboy stuff but there's a nice 2 page pic of her in June's KING magazine.

The interview is nice too. She's knows how to work the MTV angle like a champ. She's also starting some kinda shirt company with "naughty" stuff on them like "Future MILF" and other crazy shit. I think that shirt you see her wearing "I Love my P****" is also from her company.

So limited in your scope. Hey, there's more to life than Blondes.

But for the rest of us without TIVO's and who aren't always able to see every ep every week the "Re-hashing" helps.

i dont own a tivo but how does it know when to tape the new episodes and how to avoid retaping all the repeats it shows?

oh, tivo knows. tivo knows.

you can set it to just record new shows.

and giantrobo, i know why there are "re-hash" moments at the beginning of shows. i simply fast forward through it. i have no problem with recaps like that. i just threw out the survivor reference as another show that has lng recaps at the beginning.

However, in mentioning RRRWC and Surreal Life as having bad re-hash moments, we're referring mainly to the rehashing that occurs after returning from a commercial break, in the same 30-minute show.

Makes a lot of sense. I honestly forget to watch it half the time so I have a built in mini-marathon waiting for me whenever I remember to watch the show (when I don't watch it live). They run the latest two eps before the new one, so this week was cool (even though the commercial breaks kill me...I really need a DVR).

I really enjoy the show, but these challenges are so generic. But thank god the badass chicks continue to wear there 80's little boy shorts to the missions whether they're needed or not.

I would be very surprised if there is a network on the planet that has longer commercial breaks than MTV/VH1. 6 minutes is not unheard of. Two 6 minute breaks = 40% of the total airtime alone.

This last episode (the buried in the sand one) I couldn't help but notice it was the "good girls" wearing string bikinis and the "bad girls" looked like they were wearing mumus and grandma shorts.

i gotta admit i love these real world road rules shows... i become obsessed with them everytime.

i liked CT when he was on real world because he cracked me up... but after monday's episode i got no respect for the man any longer... he's gonna go up and try and bully dan knowing he's not a fighter? i mean cmon what a tough guy trying to act like a hardass to him.

that's pathetic.

haha and when is landon gonna shave that hair off... he looks like a gnome.

Y'know for the life of me I cannot figure out why, but I get hooked on these things every go round too. I don't really watch Road Rules or Real World in and of themselves anymore, but always find time for these challenges. Every fiber in my body tells me this is crap tv (even on the reality tv scale)...and yet I keep coming back for more.

I will admit that this season is a bit weak compared to previous ones. Even though Dave is leaps and bounds better than he was last time, I still prefer Johnny as host. Also no Coral, which means things are automatically 60% less dramatic.

And CT is a bitch. "You can't beat me!" WTF?

Johnny is way better as host. I'm beginning to feel that the current seasons of RR/RW casts are just to get more people for the Challenges. I don't watch Road Rules at all anymore.

iggy, that's how i feel. the only reason i'd even begin to watch some of the actual RW and RR shows is so I can familiarize myself with people for future challenges.

johnny is one of the greatest hosts in reality TV. i can't explain it. he just is. up there with jeff probst.

ct was absolutely ridiculous in this last episode. not that i had any respect for him before (he was an ass on his season, in the few shows i watched), but he went beyond being an ass. going up to dan and pretending like he was going to swing? ridiculous.

But how great was it that when CT "bucked" Dan didn't flinch (or at least I didn't see him do it). That made CT look like even more of a ponce.

Dan was really likeable during this challenge. He jumps back and forth so much, but it seems like age is really agreeing with him.

I agree. I hated Dan on RW, but he was one of my favorites here.

Darrell just pisses me off. Landon did the stand up thing, IMO, by telling him his intentions beforehand, and Darrell just turned into a bitch.

yeah agreed on darrell he basically cheated as they said they would help the team first and then go get the crabs but he went right for the crabs just the same way ct did... dave should used some kind of veto power and threw the two of them in the inferno instead for being greedy.

by the way the funniest episode had to be "the wedgie" what the hell was going on there... brad is running around naked like the incredible hulk and the miz is ripping his underwear.. then those two meatheads about to fight because of a wedgie it doesn't get much more classic

"don't put your hands on my underwear, peace"
