I have a question.

Did they ever show the episode where it looks like Landon and one of the bad @ss guys get in a fight? I saw it on the previews but never saw it. If so, how/why did they not get thrown off, they always seem to not mess around when one member touches another.. I'm confused, did I miss the episode?

Landon and Derek were wrestling outside of a club ( they were wasted of course ). Derek ended up getting stiches behind his ear. In retaliation, Derek shaved part of Landon's hair off. The next morning Landon woke up and had Darell & CT cut his hair.

They didn't get kicked off because they weren't really fighting, just messing around.

I used to like Veronica, but it seems like the more challenges she does, the worse she looks.

Jamie

LB: Good guys (Jamie, Mike, Darrell and Landon) were supposed to split the 230,000 (150,000 for winning the final mission and $80,000 they had for winning eight missions.) among themselves. Bad Asses (whoever was left at the end) split the 70,000 that they had for winning seven missions.

However I heard a rumor (and to answer your last question) that the Good Guys did split the 80,000 with the other team members and it was divided based on when you were eliminated. (So Brad/Shovanda would get more than John or Jodi.)

That's why they're the good guys. snicker.

I didn't like that final challenge. All season long they've been doing various stunts and puzzles (eating gross things, bungee jumping, whatever), and then the final challenge is just an endurance test? Come on, that's pretty messed up. At least a fair share of previous stunts were winnable (sp?) by anyone.

It kind of reminds me of season three of The Amazing Race:
Spoiler:
I forget the names, but the male/female couple got to the final destination a good five minutes before the brothers, but there was a mile-long run to the pit stop, and the second place team caught up and won.

Ah. Thanks. Yeah I missed that episode I guess. Funny how they try to tease it into a fight on the previews.

Did anyone watch the recap show tonight? Why tonight's show was only half an hour is beyond me. I'm sure there's enough drama and untold stories to fill an entire hour.

CT asking Beth if she had botox.

Tonya getting drunk the night before the final mission? Wow, brains on that one.

Veronica sitting a challenge out? Hahaha, what else is she going to do?

some of "the things you didn't see" in the final challenge, from The Miz:

Here's something you didn't see our raft started losing air and I'm not talking a little air I'm talking if you look at our raft afterwards you'd wondered how we made it. It honestly lost half of it's air so we were paddling a sinking boat and we couldn't get the damn thing to go straight. We were going everywhere. If you notice some of the time I'm not paddling then Darrel's not. That's because we were trying to get the boat to go in the right direction.

...

We finally get to the shore after what felt like hours of padddling. Honestly we'd paddle and it'd feel like we were going no where. Here's another thing you didn't see. We had a 5 minute production break to conduct interviews and change our cloths.

...

Darrel's chain popped but what you didn't see was the Bad A$$'s had two of their chains pop. We were definately faster than them on the bike race so now we were like 10 minutes ahead of them not 3:17 like production posted (good old editting thinking let's make it look closer than it really is).

...

Oh yeah I almost forgot to tell you that the reason everyone stayed together was because Dave Mirra made the rule that we had to stay within 10 feet of each other.

...

The Riddle that could make or break us. We didn't know how far ahead of the Bad Ass's we were so we were nervous. Here's my favorite part of the show because editting once again makes it look like the bad ass's were close. The part where we were like who was the third person out on our team then they show slow mo's of all of us like it took us 10 minutes to figure it out. Honestly, that riddle took us 2 minutes to do and the Bad Ass's weren't even close. They made it look like they were right there. The way you can tell it was all editting was it looks like the Bad Ass's are coming up on us but when the bad ass's get to the riddle we're no where to be found.

...

After about 30 minutes of celebrating we were still waiting for the Bad Ass's to complete the final challenge. Yeah, it wasn't even close.

...

I love the part where they had the whole thing about me loving every part of this challenge. I just thought it was a great way to say good bye to the Challenges .... Now it's time for The Miz to take the next step in life and that's fulfill the goal of becoming a WWE Superstar and there's no way I can still do MTV challenges and wrestling. It's time to start the career in wrestling so I'm hoping that THe Mizfits from MTV will follow me to WWE. If not, thanks for all the fun memories and good luck to all the new kids in the Reality world.

Bravo to Bring Us ‘Battle of the Network Reality Stars’
by David Bloomberg -- 06/23/2005

It was corny, it was fun, it was the ‘70s – it was the Battle of the Network Stars, where actors competed against each other in a variety of athletic tasks. But today, there seem to be more reality stars than actors. So Bravo is updating the concept and will be bringing it to us soon. Some well-known names are participating – find out all the details right here!

For now. I don't know if it has been officially cancelled, but there are no new seasons currently planned. Real World, on the other hand, has been extended through season 20.

how to book Veronica for a lecture about eating disorders
http://www.wolfmanproductions.com/body.htm

Not coincidentally, this time period has also been one where Veronica has overcome her long and repetitive history of emotionally abusive relationships with the opposite sex. Releasing herself from the physically binding and emotionally limiting unhealthy eating and relationship habits has given her a newfound freedom and has helped to form the beautiful and free-spirited person she is today.

fumanstan 06-28-05 06:42 PM

Well, Veronica did seem to find a good relationship with the same sex :)
