Of the remaining Idol wannabes I rank them as follows:
1. Mario Vasquez - Go Bx!!!
2. Anwar Robinson
3. Anthony Federov
4. Bo Bice
5. Scott Savol
6. Constantine Maroulis - I really don't think he belongs there at all.
That said I would've ranked Ozzie Smith Jr., and David Brown right below Federov and ahead of Bice.

Whoa, wonder what the story is, did AI find out Mario is really signed by someone else?

Well, that blows. Mario was one of the frontrunners and Nikko pretty much sucks. I was happy he got eliminated on Wednesday.

Drudge reports that Mario quit because he "Did not want to be tied to exclusive IDOL contract..."

I thought they signed something when they entered that prevented a deal with another label. Don't think this is the whole story.

Nikko wasn't bad though. Not too sorry to see him return. Now if they had brought back Janay ...

Sorry dude, after the hype of the next 12 weeks , no one will remember Mario Vazquez...and next year, ALL contestants will probably be forced to sign a two year 'no contract' clause to prevent this from happening again.

Mario...the new Maurice Clarrett

So glad to see Mario gone. I never thought he'd make it as far as he did. I like the top 12 much, much better now.

I'm in shock about Mario, what's he thinking??? He was my personal favorite to win the whole thing. I'm stunned.

Mine too. This is strange indeed. I still think his best was yet to come and he had one of the best natural singing voices.

His only hope is to get a single out FAST, like within a month. But even then, it's a stupid move because he only has three real weeks of exposure. Plus look at Kelly and Clay, the two most successful Idol contestants. They both put out their Idol single, did an album for the Idol people, and did the tour/show appearances. Now they're both already out of their Idol contract and have their careers in full swing. The contract does sound pretty limiting, but it's over in like two years.

Idol takes a huge cut of what they make the 1st couple of years but its still a very good deal for all concerned (including the contestants). Idol presents a lot of opportunities for exposure and a built in fan base. If Mario was after more money outside Idol then he is very stupid indeed. He will be a nobody inside 6 weeks.
