The challenges were pretty good last night. That tattoo girl is really pulling her weight

We get it. You think she's a man.

I would've loved to have taken part in that. I'm a pack mule, and could've kicked some serious ass.

I was thinking about how I would have done along those same lines. I have thighs like tree trunks and used to squat 500+ lbs. But it looked like it was more about aerobic capacity and moving through the water than strength (with the weights accenting that). Pure willpower can take you beyond capaity in that case, and I think that's where Tom has it over the pretty boys.

That and the ability to carry 60+ pounds of gear plus a 160 pound wiggling person out of a smoking, collapsing building. This challenge was made for him.

Jeff again really laid into them at Tribal Council. He seems to be spending more time "interviewing" the tribe before each vote this season.

Next week looks interesting.

Tom looks like one of the better castaways at this point. Hope he makes it through.

Frontrunners, like Tom, rarely make it all the way. It's just the way social forces make the weak vote off the strong during the individual phase of the game. It's been like this since Kelly from Season 1 pretty much ran through the immunity challenges, as did Colby in Season 2.

If Tom's tribe is smart, they'll kept alternating the weak and strong members during the reward challenge (leave off strong players), and immunity challenge (leave off the weak members) to take advantage of the rule to not sit out members in consecutive challenges. While it lessens their odds for reward, it keeps the tribe stronger by winning more immunity challenges, and going into the merge, it makes the game "smaller" in the individual phase because it'll be easier to pick the other former tribe members off one by one.

Has Tom sewn up a spot on the next All-Stars with Ami and Chris from last year yet?

Caryn needs some anger management. Kim has got to be one of the laziest survivors ever. If these two are the next two out, I'll be happy.

Tom is still my favorite and Steph is the absolute bomb.

Bobby Jon gained a lot of respect from me after this ep. Used to think he was just another "pretty boy," but he seems to be a hard worker with a lot of heart.

I don't know who it was that Angie kept dunking at the reward challenge (lame reward, btw), but if that were me I would have been so frustrated. Good job by Angie though.

Is it just me or does James have some friggin HUGE nostrils?

Big Boy Laroux 03-05-05 11:14 AM

angie was dunking Janu and Greg. Myabe Gregg. who knows how the pretty boys spell it.

i like bobby jon a bit better, too, after this last episode.
