I really, really like steph. Does anyone know what her background is (I mean interms of race)?
The immunity challenge I agree was one of the better ones they've had in a while. It looked like a lot of people dropped out quickly but we can't really tell for sure since they didn't give us a clock.

I think Caryn went out immediately cause she can't even hold up 20 lbs. That simply amazes me.

yeah, stephanie stayed in the challenege, but it actually hurt them in the end. koror had all bags divided among 3 players. ulong had 2 people with the majority, and stephanie had one. so she didn't really help them at all.

I disagree about your views of Steph's input in the challenge. In an endurance challenge like that, any weight you can keep off someone else is a huge help. Steph may have only been carrying 20 pounds, but that was 20 pounds someone else didn't have to carry as long as held in there, and over the long haul, an extra 20 pounds becomes VERY important.

Stephanie reminds of the episode of Seinfeld where they painted the eyebrows on Uncle Leo. She might be attractive otherwise, but those brows look like little creatures crawling up out of her eyes.

Also, I think Koror should have had to play with all their members in this immunity. They have more people so they should have to carry more weight. It's not a penalty in this case. I think they need to make all immunity challenge's the type where all members compete because one tribe always gets on a winning streak. The tribe with more people can always sit weak players and are able to have a better tribe competing. I know they have to swap around who they sit between challenges but it's still a huge advantage.

right, i was never implying that steph was hurting the tribe in the challenge, just that she actually was not as big an asset as some seem to think. if it had been jeff in there, without the hurt ankle, he would have been able to carry more weight, and take it away from ibrehem and bobby jon.
and yeah, that is what i was implying about rupert (that he was strong without the pretty muscles). sorry if it was confusing. another example of the strength through living are the techniques tom and rupert used in all strength challenges. relying on their legs (and in rupert's case, his body weight) rather than arms. just smart. i remember how osten was all pumped up in that season, but rupert made him look like a baby. the same will be said this year about tom vs. the pretty boys.

Even ones where they would get a huge advantage by having more people.
Well, I just disagree. If you keep winning, you deserve an advantage.

I agree with you that it should be an advantage to keep winning. My problem is that Survivor then does things to change that advantage. Why not stop it from the beginning. Shortly they will feel the need to make some sort of change to get things more alligned, i.e change up the tribes. Maybe if they do as I suggest, the tribes will stay competitive. I suppose the "twists" are what gets people to tune in so I guess in a way, they want the tribes to be mis-matched so the viewers want something to change up. Who knows.

Tom is a MACHINE. The look on his face with Coby ready to die at the end in that lil' bikini he wears--priceless.

I'm getting bored with all the physical challenges. Where is the strategy? I mean Tom pretty much wins every immunity challenge for Koror. I think the team with the extra people should be forced to rotate out teammates (i.e. so they can't make Willard sit out again until everyone has sat out of a challenge once). I mean they ALWAYS bench Willard.
Then again, Koror is not exactly sitting pretty. They are a pressure cooker waiting for a way to release steam. Seems like some folks might be up for throwing an immunity challenge soon just so they can get rid of some of their useless baggage/extra mouth to feed, clothe and shelter.

The Ulong tribe is just lame all around. It seems like that last two eliminations they all agree to vote for one person then they all go off and vote however the hell the want once the time comes. No strategy at all. (Of course, this is all up to how the producers choose to EDIT the "vote negotiation" footage we actually get to see.)
I also don't understand how Jeff was allowed to continue. I mean how seriously does someone need to get injured before the producers step in a give him some freaking ASPIRIN at least? Shouldn't he have gotten some medical attention instead of limping around on the injury and making it worse?
While he would have been a workhorse for Ulong - I thought Jeff was a 21 year-old boob (personal trainer can = no real experience except looks good from lifting weights a lot and gets paid to encourage other people at a gym to lift weights) who was totally being played by Kim (the 25 "grad student" in being a manipulative lazy ho). Kim has an opportunity to kick it hard and earn her keep next week - but I'm guess she has very little drive or potential to fall back on. Then again if Ulong wins immunity (they're seriously due), she needn't worry.

I am not so sure that Angie's blurring is exclusively due to nip slips. I think that it might have something to do with her tattoos as well. Maybe they are vulgar? I've noticed a couple of times she was blurred when there was no doubt that there were no nip slips.

yeah, rfduncan, as I mentioned above, i didn't mean that she was hurting the tribe, just that she was not as big an asset as it seemed. obviously, if she bowed out, it would have been worse for the guys. i was saying that having her there with one bag instead of a healthy Jeff with 3 or so would have obviously been a better situation.

Great episode and amazingly great challenges. That immunity challenge was just incredible. I love endurance challenges and this one was a doozy. I also like it when something so slowly paced can be so exciting.
And this cast is damn good. People that I find interesting include: Angie, Steph, Ian, Tom, Janu, and James, with Ibrahim and Willard on the bubble. That's more interesting personalities than on the last few years combined. Good stuff.

ian was also an asset in the immunity challenge. sure, he's not as strong as some of the others, but his long legs allowed him to walk by stepping out of the water, instead of having to wade through it.
I really think that if ian makes it to the merge (which, right now, I don't see how he can't), any challenge involving swimming will be his for the taking.
and tom made the obvious comment (but no one on ulong seemed to think the same thing) about sprinting through the shallow area.
