I don't watch this show, but I have to share something funny that happened the other day.
We were coming back from somewhere last week, when my 6 year old son started to ask my wife to turn on "The OC" in the van. It was a warm day outside, but not warm enough to warrant the AC being turned on, and we told him that. "No, turn on 'The OC' up there," he said pointing to the tempature gauge, "'The OC's up there." He was talking about pushing the button so that it would turn the temp from US to Metric, the Degrees Farenheit (°F) versus Degrees Celsius (°C)... the "°C". Just had to laugh at that point. rotfl |
Hopefully Marissa gets killed by a moving truck and we can be done with her horriable acting. Ok, maybe her head gets cut off and her body is still around in little skimpty shirts?

I'm sure Marissa will last this episode,

I absolutely LOVED Spider-Seth and the homage to the kiss in the rain with Spider-Seth hanging upsidedown and Summer planting a wet one on him.
It looks like the writers practically hit the reset button with this episode: Lindsay survives the blood test which confirms she's a Nichol, but decides to move away to Chicago with her mom. Ryan is crushed. After some more tempting scenarios develop for Sandy, the situation is resolved by having Rebecca high-tail it from an accident scene because she feared the cops showing up and discovering her secrets and putting her behind bars. Sandy finally gets home, in a bus because he drove the vehicle off the road in the rainy accident, and Kirsten appears to believe Sandy's pronouncement that Rebecca is gone, and never ever got re-started between them. Seth's efforts to woo Summer back are finally are rewarded when she realizes that she'll never fit in with Zach's family, and she leaves him at the airport and heads for Seth's place, and that's when she finds him hanging upsidedown in his Spidey mask. Marissa tells her mom that Alex is her GIRLfriend, and her mom doesn't make a big deal about it since she also did a little experimenting at her age. Marissa moves out from Caleb's place and into Alex's apartment, and then is rudely introduced to actually having to make ends meets and taking out the trash. It's like a slap of reality hitting her in the face. Marissa walks Alex to her bar, and then spots Ryan just standing on the pier in the rain, despondent. Marissa walks over, covers both of them with the umbrella, and she puts her arm around Ryan, offering comfort and support. |
Please let Ryand and Marissa get back together......PLease!!!!!!!!!

Wow, best of the season so far I think. Spider Seth was great, heh heh.
|
Yeah, Spider-Seth was the best! As soon as i saw him fall off the roof and he was hanging upside down, i was like "Here it comes!" It was very corny but extremely well done and it fits thier personalities just fine, very nice
Everything else in this episode was good as well. Im glad Rebecca is out of the picture, i enjoyed that whole scenario when it started but got agitated with it. She got annoying fast. As for Linsdey, i really like her character, and i think shes really attractive, way more so than Marissa. I really cant stand the thought of Ryan and Marissa getting back together. Marissa is by far the worst aspect on that show, her timing on everything sucks. Someone get her off the show...fast! Great episode tho! |
Well...wasn't that a nice and tidy episode. Lindsey is gone. Rebecca is gone. Zach is gone.
Worst part of the show was Fox cutting to another scene right after Alex tells Marissa to get out of her wet clothes. I had the damn porno music blasting in my head and Fox cuts away!! Now that Kim Delaney is done with show I'd just like to say: Kim Delaney = Old and Busted Kelly Rowan = New Hotness Sandy is a jackass for even thinking there was a choice. |
Man - they decided to wrap practically everything up in a nice tidy package with this episode. I guess they realized the season had been pretty lame so far. It had that 'end of sweeps' feel to it. Spidey-Seth was pretty funny, although predictable, but how exactly did he figure to fix the dish.

As for Seth and Summer getting back together, I don't necessarily have a problem with that either. It beats Seth playing stalker, and besides, as much as they tried to make Zach into the charming, dream guy for Summer, there was zero chemistry between those two. Now Ryan and Marissa, please God don't let that happen. They've already dated twice in a season and a half. Third time will not be the charm since Mischa Barton's involved. And BTW, is Lindsay really going the way of Anna Stern? That would suck since she's been a welcome addition to the cast. |

My favorite scene of the entire season was when Seth found out about Alex and Marissa. The eye-rubbing and the ensuing tell to Ryan were great. The entire chain of events was perfect. I'll miss Lindsey - I thought she was a good addition to the show. |
"Oh my god."
"Oh My god." "Oh My God..." |
This episode had not just an end of sweeps feel but could have been a season finale - a sort of opposite to last year's total downer. That was my take on it from the preview and it delivered. Of course, as soon as soon as I saw Seth hanging upside down I knew exactly what was coming. Absolutely inspired.

Great Episode. I loved the beginning with Seth and Ryan not wanting to walk out in the rain. RIP Summer Breeze. I loved the Spider Seth also BTW.
|
Well, while its the end of Lindsey and Rebecca, Zach may come back. He is friends with both Seth and Ryan...but yeah, its possiable he could be gone.
The next episode in two weeks looks interesting. |
Ugh completely crap
Lindsay and ryan had actual chemistry, and they blow that up. |

If indeed Zach is gone, that will indeed suck. I think hes a good part of the show and could still be relevant even if hes not together with Summer. When is Luke coming back? They need some other Kid/Young characters on the show who are regulars, permanent cast members. |
I heard Oliver was coming back...this time, for RYAN!

Next week loks like a good old fashioned OC fun episode...the 4 trapped in the mall overnight

They needed to do a Julie experimentation flashback.

Great episode last night. While predictable, I too loved the Spider-Seth scene. Oh and Boys II Men
