My wife and I found that quite humorous, too.

Seth: "Marissa and Alex are no longer welcome in the Red states."

That line rivals Denny Crane's Boston Legal red/blue reference: "Massachusetts is a Blue state; God has no place here."

Last night's episode was awesome. I really liked the Spidey kiss, although it was predictable, I thought it was very funny. I'm glad they got some things back to the way they were, but I don't want Lindsay to leave. I thought she was a great addition to the cast, and since she was actually Caleb's daughter she had more to do with the characters than just being Ryan's girlfriend.

It sucks there won't be a new episode for two weeks, The O.C. should get it's own nonstop season :(

Patman 02-25-05 02:07 PM

This just means Ryan is going to have to be hitting on Hailey next (since he's now a Nichol hound dog).

Nice shot at Laguana Beach as well.

What happened to the 12 straight new episodes we were promised after the New Year?

Can Seth be in the car too? Dont like Seth anymore. Weirdo.

Well...wasn't that a nice and tidy episode. Lindsey is gone. Rebecca is gone. Zach is gone.
Yeah, it does look like they hit the reset button doesnt it? My beef is they brought on all these character that were there only for the other character to date and throw away. It as if they were just using episodes up, getting us invested in the new people and then...Bye Bye,

Pretty good episode.

Loved Marissa and Alex's kiss behind Julie's back. I'm glad Seth and Summer and back together, hopefully he will be back to the Seth of last season.

Yeah i want them to keep Kirsten/Sandy and Seth/Summer as the anchor relationships of the show. Occasional fights are ok but the breaking up and getting back together over and over again gets annoying quick.

Patman 02-25-05 07:38 PM

Maybe Ryan hits the jackpot with some Alex-Marissa sandwich action.

Hello All,
I'm new to this site and saw that you were all chatting about the OC. I love the show, however, I hate Marissa's acting. I missed it last night. Can anyone tell me what happened?

Dude, I really enjoyed this episode. This season is finally getting better. The Spider-Man kiss hit the spot. I so called it. And I'm wondering how long it'll be till Ryan and Marissa get back together. :P Looks like it's only a matter of time according to the next episode's preview.

Is it coming on this coming week or the week after that? It sounded like it'll be two weeks, and if so, I'm gonna be a sad panda!

FYI - FOX is airing an encore of the episode this Thursday at 9.

RoQuEr 02-28-05 03:56 PM

This ranks in the top 3 episodes for me, coming in after "the vegas", and the wonderwoman episode.

movieking 03-01-05 06:38 AM

One thing that I am dreading about upcoming episodes:

Spoiler:
The return of Ryan's brother, who apparently wants to move in with the Cohen's as well

riley_dude 03-04-05 06:24 PM

So there was no new episode this week?

Interesting article about The O.C and this season compared with season 1...

I have to agree with the Seth assessement.

AEspinoza1 03-05-05 11:07 PM

That article is spot on. Nice to hear someone who cares for the show offer creative criticism. I remember reading an article with Josh before the second season that he was going to intentionally tone down all of the sex stuff due to the FCC.

I"m still watching my 1st season DVD of The O.C. After reading this thread i'm not so sure i'm if even looking forward to the 2nd season or not (i have them all recorded on DVR).

I did see a bit of one episode, towards the end and saw that they have Marissa in some kind of lesbo story this year? WHERE ON EARTH did that come from?

I'll really be lost next week because i'm jumping in and watching this episode so that i won't miss the premiere of the new Star Wars Ep 3 trailer.
