Well it is made by the same people.

I thought last night's was one of the better episodes. Tooth Fairy & Trafic jam--Gold. I cracked up big time for the pole vault victim on sports bloopers!

This show has been so disappointing. The opening bump was far funnier than anything in the actual show. Why do we have to have 30 versions of Seth Green's crappy voices every episode? Did he voice the main guy on Sealab last night too? That Sealab was so annoying.

So far this show is much funnier in theory than in execution. Reading a one line description of what each skit is about makes me laugh more than the actual skit.

The tooth fairy sketch had potential but it went too long, too many alternate endings. They were going for a more violent track than I was thinking. I thought there would be some sort of off screen sexual encounter with the father and the tooth fairy.

The traffic jam sketch was much funnier. I normally don't laugh at potty humor or fart jokes but that one had me cracking up.

OH by the way, any advanced word on a DVD release? I missed the first few episodes and this is the type of show I'd rather watch a marathon of (and fast forward past silly Tooth Fairy Sketches that look like SNL skits that they can't figure out how to end.

I didn't find the Tooth Fairy skit funny the first time....and the subsequent endings didn't make it any funnier.

The traffic skit however was hilarious. I love the concept of the show, but a lot of the stuff just completely misses.

So why aren't they more like the Toyfair comics? Those things are way funnier than alot of the Robot Chicken stuff.

i think its harder to get the toys to move and talk...

the show is ok...not as great as I hoped, but still good for a chuckle....I still wish some of the cut skits would find their way out to dvd or the net..oh well

Yeah, this one definitely wasn't as good as past episodes. I really liked the traffic jam one, and wish they had let that one go on as long as the tooth fairy one. The first tooth fairy one was kinda funny, but it got old fast.

The only thing that worked for me this week was the villains in the traffic jam, otherwise ill-conceived, the thing about this show is that they need a larger writing staff so that the idea of the stop motion action figures is put to good use every week. I am glad its popular but they don't need reoccuring sketches like Bloopers, it should come fresh every week.
IMO the Tooth Fairy skit rode the line between nihilistic punk humor and poor taste and fell on the wrong side. My fingers are crossed for next weeks episode.

Robot Chicken 03.27.05

Best Robot Chicken ever....

Star Wars skit was great...and Mark Hamill reprising Luke made it...

beavis and butthead on tv again...good idea

and the charlie brown stuff was great.

I have not been as impressed with this show as I had hoped but tonite revives my faith in it.

I don't know how they are ever going to get the rights issues worked out on this to put it out on dvd...but this episode alone will get my twenty bucks

Probably my favorite episode so far. Loved the charlie brown and teen titans thing. The episode seemed a bit short though, though maybe I'm just imagining that.

No, this episode was about 10 minutes. I noted on my bedroom clock that it began at 10:32 and it ended at 10:42 with the credits rolling.

So how can they run the kill bill spoof in the commercials still, but It doesn't air on the episodes...and again I ask how are they getting the rights for this stuff.

I know that Peanuts sketch could not have been approved...

Parody in most forms is allowed under copyright laws. What Robot Chicken does is not all that different from SNL making fun of various movies and tv shows throughout the years, it is just a different medium.

"Hold me, sir"

I couldn't believe they threw a Sleepaway Camp nod in there!

agreed. But since they are using products from major toy companies, couldn't this get them in trouble. Its not like they dressed horatio sanz in a charlie brown shirt...those are honest to goodness peanuts action figures. Since we know that many of the sketches have not/will not be aired because of rights issues....i just wonder how they got the peanuts without getting sued....

I assume many of the toys they are using fall under the time warner banner in some form or fashion...but some they just amaze me as they push the envelope.

good show however they do it.

Paraphrasing:

Vader: "And the Force is nothing but microscopic bacteria in your bloodstream called Midi-chlorians..."

Luke: "That's it! If you're not going to take this seriously, then I'm out of here!"

I wondered if they were actual Peanuts toys, or just mock ups. Also, will this show be a nightmare to get to DVD?

The Benny Hill skit was fucking brilliant.

As was the Star Wars, Teen Titants, and Charlie Brown skits.

Good episode. Liked the Star Wars bit and the Peanuts one was great. I started out liking the Teen Titans one, but felt it went on a little long. Never watched Benny Hill, so wasn't really "in the know" on that one.
